It’s Monday, August 11th, 2014…and as we sit here writing, we’re watching Rory win his 4th Major…and wanting to reach through the television screen and strangle Jim Nance.

Which brings us, strangely enough, to the subject of today’s Sports Section, where the AP’s Jim Litke opines…

Woods Not Done in Majors, But He’s Close

GTY 159592441 S EUP ARE

“At No. 7, Tiger Woods bent over so gingerly to pick up his tee that you wondered whether he’d get back up. At No. 8, he leaned so heavily on his putter while retrieving a ball from the cup that the shaft bowed like a guitar string.

By then he was 3-over par for the day, a half-dozen strokes on the wrong side of the cut line with a still-sore back and one foot already out the door. Sympathy for Woods might be in short supply, but it was still sad to watch.

…Woods’ critics were out in force long before then. Some portion of the audience found him too arrogant right from the start, and even after he ascended to the top of the game and tournament after tournament put on the best show in sports. Another big chunk peeled off after the scandal. Every time he’s humbled – and despite a combined eight tour wins in 2012-13, there have been no shortage of those instances – Woods gets carpet-bombed on social media and barroom conversations.

Litke’s right; but, just as so many in today’s MSM, for the wrong reasons.  Like one B. Hussein Obama, Tiger’s issues are the result of (a) overexposure by a fawning MSM determined to promote him merely on the basis of his skin color, and (b) inherent character flaws.  Though in all fairness to the wayward Mr. Woods, at least Tiger’s actually accomplished something in his life.

People don’t love or hate Tiger personally; they’re simply fed up with him being the story…even when he’s not playing!

This reminds us of our days at Annapolis.  My Naval Academy class was comprised of young men from across the country, thus with loyalties to every NFL team then in existence.  Being that our dad played with Sammy Baugh between WWII and Korea, we were somewhat biased towards the Redskins.  But those not raised with burgundy and gold coursing through their veins, who as Plebes were forced daily to memorize an article from the WaPo sports section and thus had to endure the Post‘s 24/7, 365-days-a-year endless extolling of the virtues of George Allen’s Over the Hill Gang developed an understandable distaste for the very concept of Washington football.

This explains the public’s issue with Tiger.  And frankly, it’s why so many Americans suffer EOF: Extreme Obama Fatigue. Sure Tiger’s good for golf.  But if golf can survive the retirement of Jack Nicklaus, it can survive most anything.  And even if Tiger’s sunset marks the demise of the professional golf, then the PGA has no one to blame but themselves.

But The Obamao’s not good for anything…or anyone; other than those looking to suck on the taxpayer teat.  Thus our concern remains whether America can survive the continued presence of The Obamao.

Then again, what can one expect when the candidate who campaigned on uniting the country clearly claims…

Conservatives Are Greatest Threat To Nation, Obama Suggests

Hells bells, as the WSJ reports, this deceptive, duplicitous douche pump won’t even give his own political party the honest facts:

The Arms Control Illusion

The U.S. says Russia is cheating. So what will Obama do now?

screendooronsubmarine

As useful as any arms control treaty ever signed!

“…The first reports of Russian testing of a banned mid-range missile came six years ago. U.S. officials have since said that the Russians have worked on three different types of cruise missiles able to fly 500 to 5,500 kilometers, which are prohibited by the INF.

The Administration didn’t inform the Senate of these violations during the 2010 ratification debate for Mr. Obama’s nuclear deal, New Start. Seventy-one Senators voted for the treaty without having the facts.

Only two years later did Administration officials brief the Foreign Relations Committee about the cheating in a closed-door hearing, according to a November report in the Daily Beast. John Kerry, who then chaired the Senate committee, declared that “we’re not going to pass another treaty in the U.S. Senate if our colleagues are sitting up here knowing somebody is cheating,” according to a classified transcript reported by the news site.

Yet it took another two years for the U.S. to issue last week’s public demarche to Moscow about the INF. For much of the Obama era, the Administration pursued a diplomatic warming with Russia, seeking Vladimir Putin’s help in Syria, Afghanistan and Iran and treaties to follow up New Start. Why let a few illegal Russian cruise missiles spoil the good vibes?

Be it arms control, gun control, emissions control or calorie control, every single Progressive policy has one thing in common:

Now, here’s The Gouge!

We kick off the week with the honorary B. Hussein Obama…

Meanwhile, even MSLSD‘s retired 4-star military analyst recognizes The Obamao’s airstrikes for what they are:

Obama’s Iraq strikes blasted as ‘pinprick,’ ‘political gestures’ by retired four-star generals

McCaffrey

“These are political gestures using military power,” Gen. McCaffrey said, the Daily Mail reported. “We dropped three aircraft loads of water and food to 50,000 people in the mountains. Now we’re striking ISIS artillery units. It looks to me as if a lot of this is internal U.S. politics to show we’re doing something. If you’re going to protect refugees, 50,000 people without water and food, you don’t do two F/A-18 strikes on an artillery unit somewhere in the vicinity.”

Gen. Keane told Fox News that the White House used Iraq’s political instability as an “excuse not to act” for months. “The harsh reality is ISIS needs to be stopped regardless of the political situation in Iraq,” he added, the Daily Mail reported…”

Which is just another way of saying, as Paul Greenberg observes at Townhall.com, The Dear Misleader is…

Leading From Behind — Way Behind

“…The president says he’s going to resort to force only if necessary to defend the few Americans left behind in northern Iraq. The same way he defended that little American outpost in Benghazi, Libya? And assured that it would be wiped out in a bloody attack that took the lives of some of our best and bravest.

Our Lady of Benghazi, The Hon. Hillary Rodham Clinton, is still trying to explain that disaster on her watch as secretary of state — or just dodging questions about it. (“What difference, at this point, does it make?”)

This is called leading from behind — way behind. The result in Libya was to leave that country in the chaos that still engulfs it. Now the same fate awaits our Kurdish friends in their part of what used to be Iraq. Even while the president of the United States continues to drift and dawdle and call it a foreign policy. “As commander-in-chief,” he announced Thursday night, “I will not allow the United States to be dragged into fighting another war in Iraq.”

The Hon. Barack Obama might as well have sent an engraved invitation to this ISIS/ISIL bunch and every other aggressor from Damascus to Moscow:

The President of the United States requests the pleasure of your company in whatever part of the world you choose to overrun next. But we’d appreciate it if you steered clear of Americans this time or we’ll have to fire a few rounds in the air. Or drop a bomb or two. If only for appearances’ sake. Nothing personal, you understand, just for ceremonial purposes. But feel free to wreak whatever havoc you like on our old friends and allies in your neighborhood. They’re expendable.

Which is a sure way not to avoid war but invite it

Thus what was true before in Libya…

Rear View

…remains true today.

By the way, according to the Administration’s own press release, at the rate The Obamao’s going…

US launches five more airstrikes Sunday, destroying four Islamic State armored vehicles

…we’ll be bankrupt about the time ISIS/ISIL is down to 1,000 armored vehicles!

In other words, when comes to this Marxist horse’s patootie, one could…and should…say…

Which is why Kurt Schlichter is squarely on target when he notes…

“Liberal” Is Just A Synonym For “Smug”

aa-liberal-policies-fail

You can add the Soviet Union, Red China, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea and the Plymouth Bay Colony!

It’s astonishing that an ideology which such an unbroken track record of failure has adherents who are so incredibly pleased with themselves. It’s like a soda pop executive whose proudest achievement was thinking up New Coke.

For the liberals who aren’t liberal solely because someone is handing them checks for plopping onto the couch all day instead of working, liberalism has become less an ideology than an attitude. It’s an attitude of serene superiority over everyone else based upon absolutely nothing more than liberals’ utter certainty of the rightness of their collectivist cause. That history shows that collectivism always leads to tyranny never seems to put a damper on their confidence.

…I guess it’s easy to be moral when morality is defined as whatever you need at that moment. Still, it’s annoying to listen to people with such a weird, unearned sense of their own moral superiority. In truth, they are utterly morally illiterate. These are folks who draw parallels between Hamas and Israel when the only parallel between the Israelis and the jihadist degenerates is that they share the habit of breathing oxygen.

You’d be better off discussing ethics with your terrier. At least your dog isn’t going to come up with excuses for Ted Kennedy.

liberalism-obama-president-taxes-democrats-fail-failure-soci-demotivational-poster-1232777802

…Interestingly, when you look at liberals, many live their lives in a conservative manner. This is because they understand that being liberal in your personal life is a one-way ticket on the high-speed rail line to Failureville.

…Let’s put aside the academic studies that show conservatives are generally better educated than liberals and look at history. Liberalism and its collectivist brethren have never, ever succeeded anywhere they been tried. The results are always more poverty, more misery and less freedom. Always

Because, particularly when it comes to Progressives, ignorance truly is bliss!

Given the comments featured in the article in reaction to the ABC‘s attempt to keep the public appraised of a rather significant international news development, we’re beginning to understand the worldview and intellect of women who continue to support this fool.
