It’s Friday, November 14th, 2014…but before we begin, a couple of brief thoughts on the passing scene. We spent some time this past Tuesday observing the way in which differing individuals and organizations “honored” the nation’s veterans.

Two particularly caught our attention. Numero uno was HBO‘s hopelessly over-hyped Concert for Valor, where Bruce Springsteen choose to feature the anti-war screed Fortunate Son and which closed with Eminem repeatedly wishing the less-than anticipated crowd a “Happy Motherf*cking Veterans Day!” Nothing but class my men, nothing but class; and all of it third.

Next, see if you can see what’s missing in Google’s special Veterans Day logo:

Yes, that’s right: only the individual comprising the vast majority of our Armed Forces: a steak-and-baked potato loving, fire-breathing, red-white-and-blue bleeding white American male. Gee…must have been been an oversight.

Then again, as evidenced by this next video courtesy of Balls Cotton and CDR Salamander, the evisceration of the Military through the targeted elimination of such individuals is unquestionably an integral part of Progressive planning:

We should all truly fear for our country’s future. November 4th was just the beginning, folks; there’s still an enormous amount of work to do, and we must remain highly resolved to continue the fight, so that, in the words of an honest President, this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom; and that government of the people, by the people and for the people, shall not perish from the earth.

It Wasn’t Just Obama

The Democrats’ policies have been pillaging their own political base.

“The Democrats who were caught standing on the beach last week when the GOP’s 40-foot wave washed over them are now explaining why it wasn’t their fault.

No. 1: It’s not us; it’s what’s his name, the unpopular president. (And that awful Valerie Jarrett. )

No. 2: It was a midterm election with a bad map; we’ll be back in 2016. Hillary to the rescue.

Official Obama Explanation : My ideas and policies are fine; I just have a messaging problem.

USS Democrat Captain Nancy Pelosi : “There was an ebbing, an ebb tide, for us.”

…A few Democratic voices, mostly party professionals whose job is winning elections, have said the donkey herd that just ran off the cliff needs to rethink its sense of direction. No one is listening to them. Most Democrats, especially the left that took control of the party in 2008, deny any problem. And well they might. There is no Plan B.

The Democrats’ standard political model is generally attributed to FDR confidante Harry Hopkins : “We will spend and spend, and tax and tax, and elect and elect.” Hopkins denied ever using these words, but the formula lived on.

Tax, spend and elect just slammed into the mountain…”

We only wish these three clowns…

The Audacity of Climate Cynicism

It was Tuesday evening in the United States when President Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping announced their nations had come to a historic agreement on climate change that supposedly represented a “breakthrough.” The United States pledged to reduce its carbon emissions to 25 percent below 2005 levels by 2025. The Chinese pledged that they would stop their own emissions from increasing after they peak in 2030.

Obama’s backers crowed, finally having gotten some good news this month. It was a huge development, right?

Well, not really. In November 2012, the Guardian reported as disappointing news that analysts had reached “a consensus that barring any significant changes in policy, China’s emissions will rise until around 2030 — when the country’s urbanization peaks, and its population growth slows — and then begins to fall.” In other words, China did not agree to anything in this “deal” that wasn’t already expected to happen on its own.

Just so we’re clear: these proposed limits will further throttle an already moribund U.S. economy, have no impact whatsoever on global temperatures and greatly benefit the ChiComs.

Is it just us, or does this remind anyone else of Team Tick-Tock’s a-deal-at-any-cost nuclear negotiations with Iran?!?

From Comedy to Farce

“It was tragically comical that the commander in chief in just a few weeks could go from referring to ISIS as “jayvee” and a manageable problem to declaring it an existential threat, in the same manner he upgraded the Free Syrian Army from amateurs and a fantasy to our ground linchpin in the new air war. All that tragic comedy was a continuance of his previous untruths, such as the assurance that existing health plans and doctors would not change under the Affordable Care Act or that there was not a smidgeon of corruption at the IRS.

But lately the Obama confusion has descended into the territory not of tragedy or even tragic comedy, but rather of outright farce.

…And how did young Jonathan Dach at the ripe age of 25 years land such a prestigious job as a presidential advance man? His father, Leslie Dach, was a lobbyist who gave the Obama campaign $23,900 and was later hired on to work with Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign. And, of course, Leslie Dach now has left his job lobbying for Wal-Mart. And where does he work now? For the Obama administration. Promoting what? Obamacare.

Here is the essence of the Obama administration’s abyss between word and deed: in the age of the war on women and the end to lobbyists in government, the feminist young aide is alleged to have solicited a prostitute; the most transparent administration in memory covered that fact up during the reelection campaign; the president who promised to end the revolving door and ban lobbyists from government hired not just a one-percenter lobbyist and donor, but his randy son as well.

Can it get much richer than that? Unfortunately, it can — literally…

…Why such farce? We have forgotten two truths about the Obama administration. No president in recent memory has so hectored the American people on the dangers of elites, and no president in the last half-century has so enjoyed the perks and culture of the elite. Unfortunately, this is not just mindless hypocrisy, but rather calibrated medieval exemption: the more Barack Obama berates the high life of others, the more he feels he deserves it for himself.“

We’ve said it before, but it bears constant repeating: Barack Hussein Obama isn’t a well-meaning but hopelessly overmatched, inept individual trying to do his best for ordinary Americans. On the contrary; Billy Mumy might well have been directly addressing the President when he said…

He is a lying, hypocritical, conniving Communist intent on reducing the greatest nation in the history of the planet to rubble, all the while enjoying the unearned fruits of the very system he despises with his family and inner circle. He is beneath contempt, along with anyone who supports him in any way.

Oh…and if you think Hillary will be any different, drop whatever you’re smoking and…

…wake up and smell the Marxism.

In the meantime…

Internal review details failures in fence-jumping incident at White House

“…There were nearly a dozen failures in the Secret Service’s rings of security that helped Omar Jose Gonzalez, 42, get inside the White House and deep into the East Room, according to a Department of Homeland Security review, a summary of which was obtained Thursday by The Washington Post:

In one example, a canine handler who was supposed to help chase down and tackle anyone who breached the White House compound was in a van on a personal cellphone call at the time and did not hear any radio traffic about a fence jumper. By the time he and his well-trained attack dog arrived, Gonzalez was already entering the White House front door, the review found.

In another failure, a crisis command center officer who thought he was alerting everyone to an intruder that Friday night didn’t realize his radio wasn’t working properly — meaning his alert was not being broadcast to officers stationed at the White House. Some alarms were also muted.

An officer on the North Portico guarding the front gate also did not realize for some time that there was a fence jumper because of “unintelligible traffic over the radio,” the report said. With his gun drawn as he watched Gonzalez run up the steps, the officer let the intruder walk past him because he assumed the front door was locked; it was not.

The section of the fence that Gonzalez scaled lacked an ornamental spike — called a trident — that would have made it harder for him to get over, the report found.

Two emergency response team members responded to the commotion quickly with rifles pointed at Gonzalez but determined he was not a lethal risk because he appeared unarmed. The one who got closest to tackling him was surprised when Gonzalez barreled through a line of bushes at the base of the North Portico steps. He and several fellow officers had assumed the dense bush line was impassable. (Anyone else detecting a pattern here?!?)

The review, which was first reported by the New York Times, also found striking communications failures. The canine handler and his dog, for example, were stationed in a van partly to avoid giving the impression of a militarized zone to White House visitors. But it was not equipped with monitors or speakers to alert him of a breach. (You know…the one on the personal phone call!)

An officer in the service’s Joint Operations Command Center saw alarm panels indicating that someone had breached the fence line and sent out an alert over the radio. But he didn’t know the command center radio system lacked the capability to override standard radio traffic, so his transmission was not broadcast. He avoided making additional transmissions because he wanted to keep the line clear for other radio reports.

The officer stationed directly inside the front door had no idea there was an intruder, as the alarm at her station had been muted at White House staff request. Gonzalez knocked her over as she tried too late to lock the front door. She reached for her baton to subdue him, but grabbed her flashlight by mistake...”

Seems to us The Obamao simply got the government he deserves!
