It’s Wednesday, April 8th, 2015…and we are, quite literally, up to our hindquarters in alligators.  Which of course makes it difficult to remember our primary responsibility is to…

Reigning the Swamp

…drain the swamp.

But before we begin, a quick shout-out to a brother mired in the midst of the most needlessly complex and confusing tax system ever compelled upon a country:

Hell To Pay

Stilt, we truly feel your pain!

Now, here’s The Gouge!

First up, courtesy of Mark Foster, yet another reason to doubt the validity of The Dear Misleader’s Iranian acquiescence: Barry was overheard whispering to Kerry he should promise the Mad Mullahs…

“If you like your centrifuges, you can keep your centrifuges !!”

Hey, the same scam got him reelected!

Next up, courtesy of the WSJ, Mary Anastasia O’Grady details how electing America’s first Communist President has allowed what was heretofore an unthinkable consequence:

Obama Rehabilitates the Castro Brothers

The Organization of American States is now open to dictatorships.

The Obamao’s two newest, bestest friends: Hey, what are the lives of over 200,000 innocent people between Communist compadres?!?

“When President Obama travels to Panama for the 7th Summit of the Americas later this week, expect to be inundated with platitudes about the blossoming of democracy in the region. Don’t believe it. Repression is on the march in the Americas, and U.S. ambivalence is part of the problemIn the White House’s lack of moral clarity, the region’s bullies smell weakness. One result is that a Caribbean backwater run by gangster brothers now has the upper hand in setting the regional agenda.

If the U.S. president is humiliated in Panama City like he was in Port of Spain in 2009, no one should be surprised. That’s when Mr. Obama tried to be one of the boys with Venezuela’s Hugo Chávez, who thanked him by presenting him a copy of the famous anti-American diatribe “The Open Veins of Latin America.”

Summits are a waste of time and money for real countries. But this one will be useful for Cuba, which will be allowed to join the group for the first time, and on its own terms. It’s hard to put a finger on the lowest point in Obama foreign policy, but its abject submissiveness regarding this meeting in the U.S. backyard is a serious contender…”

Which earns Barry well-deserved accolades as the Progressive poster boy for America’s version of a concept pioneered by Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Jim McDermott, John Kerry and the French:

Obama and the ‘Inevitable Critics’

We are dealing with a case of Mutually Assured Obfuscation.

ED-AT483_glovie_J_20150406175150

“‘So when you hear the inevitable critics of the deal sound off, ask them a simple question: Do you really think that this verifiable deal, if fully implemented, backed by the world’s major powers, is a worse option than the risk of another war in the Middle East?”

That was Barack Obama on Thursday, defending his Iran diplomacy while treating its opponents to the kind of glib contempt that is the mark of the progressive mind. Since I’m one of those inevitable critics, let me answer his question. Yes, it’s worse. Much worse.

Yes, because what the president calls “this verifiable deal” fails the first test of verification—mutual agreement and clarity as to what, exactly, is in it…”

Anyone who believes a single word this maleficent Marxist says is either a fellow traveller…

…or a moron of the first order.  But we wax redundant!

Since we’re on the subject of appeasement not seen since September 1938…

Munich, Anyone? Obama’s Iran Agreement in Translation

obama_surrenders_iran_4-5-15-1

“When Barack Obama told us on dozens of occasions that we could keep our previous health plan and doctor under the Affordable Care Act, he was doing it for one of two reasons.  Either he was ignorant of his own legislation (unlikely) or he was deliberately lying to get it passed. He knew best what was good for us and if he had to prevaricate, so be it. (You know…owing to his vast business and healthcare experience!)

The so-called  framework agreement on Iranian nuclear activities is almost exactly the same.  Obama again believes it is best for us, but if we are to believe Amir Taheri (and I do), this “agreement” (that the Iranians are calling merely a press release) is understood completely differently by both parties.  We have been told another series of lies in order to get something passed — or in this case not to oppose it.

Only there is one huge difference. Obamacare is reversible.  Nuclear armageddon is not…”

Then again, is anything beyond the powers of the man who slowed the rise of the oceans, closed Gitmo and allowed us, if we liked our healthcare plan, to keep it?!?
