It’s Monday, March 7th, 2022…but before we begin, what can one conclude when at the same time Biden’s press secretary claims with a straight face his policies have had no impact on soaring prices at the pump, his Secretary of Labor can’t name one thing 46* is doing to reduce inflation.

Marty Walsh is obviously not as accomplished a liar as Jen Psaki.

Now, here’s The Gouge!

First up, since we’re on the subject of serial liars, writing at The Epoch Times, Stanford professor of medicine Jay Bhattacharya and former Harvard Medical School professor Martin Kulldorff relate…

How Vaccine Fanatics Fueled Vaccine Skepticism

The development of COVID-19 vaccines is one of the few successes during a pandemic that saw major failures in public health strategy and treatments. While the vaccines can’t prevent transmission, they have reduced mortality. Before the pandemic, there was almost universal trust in vaccines, and vaccine skeptics were a small but vocal minority. With a life-saving vaccine during a major pandemic, one would expect more vaccine enthusiasm, but instead it collapsed. What happened?

Ironically, the problem is vaccine fanaticism, which has caused vaccine skepticism, with problematic consequences extending beyond COVID-19 to trust in other vaccines. Vaccine fanaticism comes in many forms.

In their drive to increase uptake, the vaccine fanatics denied basic scientific facts, such as immunity provided by COVID-recovery. This, despite numerous careful studies that showed that COVID-recovery provides better protection versus both infection and severe disease than the vaccine. Nevertheless, vaccine fanatics insisted that natural immunity shouldn’t “count” in the vaccine mandate schemes. By denying science, the vaccine fanatics created further public skepticism about the vaccines. “If they are lying about natural immunity, maybe they are lying about vaccines efficacy,” many may have reasoned.

Despite lack of evidence that the COVID-19 vaccines could prevent transmission and mounting evidence in spring and summer 2021 that they couldn’t stop disease spread, Dr. Anthony Fauci and others convinced themselves that COVID-19 could be conquered if only 70 percent, 80 percent, 90 percent, or more of the population was vaccinated. And when the vaccines didn’t live up to scientifically unproven promises, people’s trust in those who over-promised naturally collapsed. In its pursuit of the impossible goal of COVID suppression by vaccines alone, public health vaccine fanatics induced many people to become skeptical of the COVID-19 vaccine’s benefits.

Public authorities espoused psychological manipulation to induce vaccine uptake. For example, in its April 2021 guidance on mask-wearing, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) gave permission to the vaccinated only to doff the mask. Their reasoning was based on a mistaken belief that vaccinated individuals can’t spread the disease, but also as an inducement to get vaccinated since mask-wearing is unpleasant. Encouraged by public health officials, Krispy Kreme offered free donuts to the vaccinated. Some people may have wondered: “If they understood public health, they wouldn’t try to fatten people with donuts. Maybe vaccines are also bad for my health?”

In their bid to boost COVID-19 vaccine uptake, the vaccine fanatics have created a widespread movement of vaccine skepticism that didn’t previously exist. The consequences are dire not just for the COVID-19 vaccine but also for vital childhood vaccines. It may be too late for COVID-19, but regaining public trust is crucial to ensure the public’s confidence in other vaccines that are critical to the well-being of children everywhere.

In public health, it isn’t enough to be trusted by only half the population. Since widespread trust is essential, the only solution is for public health to eschew coercion and embrace its traditional principles. Public health should never again manipulate or deny authentic scientific results to manipulate the public’s behavior. It should dismiss practitioners who use public health as a weapon in a cultural or political war. (Which means Dr. Faux Chi should be fired and his pension forfeited.) It should reject slander, censoring, and ad hominem attacks. Trust in vaccines can only be regained through honest, open dialogue, science-based policies, public education, long-term thinking, a strengthened vaccine safety monitoring system, and voluntary vaccinations. That is, it should return to the traditional principles of public health.

It’s Time To Kill This Big Fat Biden Lie Once And For All

If Google, Facebook, Twitter, and the rest of the Big Tech bullies insist on stopping “misinformation,” why aren’t they censoring President Joe Biden for his repeated flagrant lie about the economy? You know, the one where he claims we were in a state of crisis when he came into office, from which he and his $2 trillion “American Rescue Plan” saved us.

Biden says it over and over again. Here’s a sampling over the past year:

We’ve turned the tide on a once-in-a-generation economic crisis. And families are beginning to be able to breathe just a little bit easier.”

Look, when we came to office, we knew we were facing a once-in-a-century pandemic and a once-in-a-generation economic crisis.”

When I was sworn in as president, the nation was struggling to pull out of the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.”

In his State of the Union, Biden claimed that his “American Rescue Plan” was one of the “few pieces of legislation” to have “done more at a critical moment in our history to lift us out of a crisis.”

This is a lie. A big fat lie. A big fat Biden-sized lie.

If President Donald Trump were to repeatedly claim a phony economic crisis, the media would preface each statement with “Trump’s false claim that …” – if they were feeling generous. Instead, they give Biden a pass.

So, even though we have said it in this space many times before, it’s time to spell it out as plainly as we can:

The country was not in an economic crisis, or a crisis of any kind, when Biden took office.

It is a crisis now, however, thanks to what Biden has done since taking office.

Here are the facts…”

Here’s the juice: If every big fat Biden lie* was killed, the man would never have been on record uttering a word.

* Including, but far from limited to, Corn Pop, his scholastic and athletic records (Note the ad hominem, personal attacks even back then), the AMTRAK conductor, the circumstances of his first wife’s death, Hunter’s intelligence, denial of his own actions, his South African experience, etc., etc., etc., ad nauseam, ad infinitum.

Next up, given the illegitimate occupant of the Offal Office, Brendan Michael Dougherty poses a very legitimate question:

Do We Know What We’re Doing?

Our two interests in this war are to keep the war limited and to see Putin punished. These interests are in direct tension with each other.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has set off a chain reaction in Europe and America. Some of this reaction is quite welcome, namely the German government’s decision to reverse almost every policy of the previous 20 years and commit to a diversity of energy resources and robust investment in its national security. Some of it is quite noble, the outpouring of generosity — particularly from Poland, in assisting the flood of Ukrainian women and children streaming over the border.

But the rest — well, I’m worried…”

And well he should be, given who’s at the helm of our Ship of State as depicted in the meme above.  Think about it: NEVER the sharpest took in the shed, Biden’s an imperfect implement further dulled by a lengthy passage of time and deepening dementia.  And now he’s in a confrontation, largely of his own making, with no more chance of success than a one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest.  What could go wrong?!?

The best thing this craven coward could have done to forestall the unprovoked invasion he invited would have been to make an extended state visit to Kyiv, challenging Mad Vlad to invade while his worthless hide was in residence.  If he’d had Kommielaa pose the same impediment to the ChiCom’s designs on Taiwan by making an extended trip to Taipei, America and the world would have been better-served on both fronts.

Moving on, here’s another quintet of items specially selected for inquiring Conservative minds:

(1). Jim Geraghty wonders if Putin sees Ukraine from the perspective of an obsessed and abusive lover, determined to destroy what he cannot possess.

(2). Richard Goldberg informs us Biden’s coming Iran deal will be even worse than Obama’s, something, prior to 46* illegitimately taking office, we frankly wouldn’t have believed possible.

(3). Consider the fact while Biden’s Justice Department is investigating American chicken companies’ sharing information on labor, there’s been nary an iota of interest in investigating Biden sharing sensitive intelligence with the ChiComs.

(4). Speaking of powerful people who unquestionably shared sensitive intelligence with the ChiComs, as Best of the Web relates, it’s Springtime for the Clintons, as the former First Grifters have obviously begun to run low on cash…not to mention underage girls.

(5). In a welcome triumph of logic over lunacy, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds signed legislation Thursday that will immediately restrict participation in women’s college and K-12 sports to biological females. We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again: Forget the fact genuine transgenderism is a psychological disorder, allowing biological males to compete against biological females in any sport outside of darts and curling is…

Which brings us, appropriately enough, to The Lighter Side:

Then there’s these from the lovely Shannon…

…Balls Cotton…

…and Speed:

Finally, since we touched on the subject, we’ll call it a wrap with the Psychology Section, and the latest insanity from another mentally-ill “transgender”, as NRO‘s Madeleine Kearns wonders…

Has Lia Thomas No Shame?

Lia Thomas, the male swimmer currently dominating female Ivy League swimming, is utterly shameless. And so is Robert Sanchez, the writer who profiled Thomas in an exclusive interview for Sports Illustrated. Sanchez writes:

In her first year swimming for the Penn women’s team after three seasons competing against men, Thomas throttled her competition. She set pool, school and Ivy League records en route to becoming the nation’s most powerful female collegiate swimmer.

It is true that Thomas “throttled” the competition. But the rest is a lie. Thomas is not “en route to becoming the nation’s most powerful female collegiate swimmer” because Thomas is not actually a female swimmer.

Thomas tells Sanchez, “I want to swim and compete as who I am.” Very well. But athletes should also compete according to what they are — male or female. To ignore this biological distinction is to make a mockery of female sports.

Here’s a second shot of the juice: While Will Thomas has no shame, he is possessed of a penis and testicles, and, despite supposedly “identifying” as female, continues to date women and display arousal at the sight of his naked teammates in the Penn locker room?

Forgive us for getting graphic by injecting a bit of biology and common sense into a subject utterly bereft of both, but when Will Thomas gets sexually aroused, how do you think he climaxes: (a) stimulates his clitoris; (b) has his female friend penetrate his vagina with her penis or a female sex toy; or, (c) via his own Mark I/Mod 0 male sex organ?  Here’s a hint: As when answering any multiple choice question, when in doubt, choose “c”!

Further proof positive, as if any were needed, Progressivism isn’t a political movement, its a pervasive form of mental illness.
