It’s Wednesday, October 26th, 2022…but before we begin, the degree to which politicians in general, and Progressives in particular, seem ignorant of the fact the internet is forever never ceases to amaze, the latest instance being Keith Ellison, Minnesota’s radical AG attempting to distance himself from The Left’s push to defund the police:

Is it any wonder, as Townhall.com‘s Kurt Schlichter records…

Here Comes the Democrat Rout

Students of military history understand that the real bloodletting starts when the losing side breaks ranks after its formations disintegrate and the cavalry sweeps in to mow down the fleeing survivors. It’s every man for himself, and the best the defeated individuals who were once part of cohesive units can hope for is not to end up one of the bodies left strewn across the battlefield. This is when the victor runs up the score. This is when the vast majority of casualties happen. This is a rout. And that’s pretty much where the Democrats are headed on November 8th, figuratively of course.

The traditional sign of a rout is when the losing party turns on itself and its platform.

The ”save yourselves!” phase will be starting soon, but the Democrats have a real problem they did not face in the past. At one time, they had some ideological flexibility. They could pretend that they were not as left as they were to save themselves by peeling off enough gullible independents to survive, and their base would see the wink and tolerate the blasphemy of convenience. But not now.

No, Democrat ideology has become a pagan religion where it was once merely a way to get power. Most candidates cannot back off from the stupidest Democrat policy planks even at the cost of their electoral lives. They cannot demand more drilling to get gas and oil prices down because that is heresy toward the angry weather goddess. They cannot support cops because that’s racist. They cannot come out against perverts in woman’s faces waving their junk in toddlers’ faces at “family friendly drag shows” because pedo-shaming is a no-go for libs. They are locked into insanity.

They cannot run. They cannot hide. They must figuratively die with their Birkenstocks on. Cool. The over and under is 30 seats in the House and 52 in the Senate. And my money is on the over.

Garry Owen, troopers. Charge!

Here’s the juice: God only knows what November 8th will bring, but when the demented deviant in the White House…a man* who’s spent some 40% of his term on vacation, yet still hasn’t managed to fit a trip down to the Mexican border into his amazingly light schedulesomehow finds the time to entertain a man who “identifies” as a young girl in the Oval Office, granting what was once the dignity of his position to a mentally-ill individual, don’t be surprised when voters pull the lever for the opposition.

Now, here’s The Gouge!

First up, the Editors at NRO note, despite every poll indicating its a loser at the ballot box…

Democrats Double Down on Abortion Extremism

Throughout the summer, Democratic strategists and their allies in the press were salivating in anticipation of Senate debate season because it would force Republican candidates to talk about the issue of abortion. Well, debate season is almost over, and how many viral video clips of GOP candidates’ debating abortion have you seen rocketing around the Internet?

Zero? There’s a reason for that: Democrats haven’t won the debate. At the very least, they were fought to a draw on stage in each contest, and on the whole Democrats lost the abortion debate by embracing extremism in battleground state after battleground state.

In Wisconsin’s first Senate debate, Republican incumbent Ron Johnson argued that his Democratic opponent Mandela Barnes backs abortion “right up until the moment of birth,” and Barnes did not dispute the claim. At a press conference the next day, National Review asked Barnes if abortion should be legal when a baby is healthy and capable of surviving outside the womb and the pregnancy poses no risk to the mother’s physical health. “It all goes back to this decision being made between a woman and her doctor. That’s as simple as it gets,” Barnes replied.

The legal dismemberment of premature infants — babies in the womb who are developed enough to be patients in a neonatal intensive-care unit — is morally repugnant to the overwhelming majority of Americans. But it does indeed seem to be a very simple issue for many of Barnes’s fellow Democratic candidates: Raphael Warnock in GeorgiaTim Ryan in Ohio, and John Fetterman in Pennsylvania have openly embraced it.

The extreme position that Fetterman openly embraces is, of course, the position held by every Democratic Senate candidate. Democratic candidates Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada, Mark Kelly of Arizona, and Val Demings of Florida have each made misleading claims that they support some limit on abortion very late in pregnancy. But in reality, each of them voted for an extreme federal abortion bill that would force all 50 states to allow abortion through all nine months of pregnancy.

While Republican Senate candidates have disagreed about whether they should push for a federal 15-week limit or say the issue should be solely decided by the states, most have done a good job highlighting the extremism of Democrats during the debates.

It is worth noting that since South Carolina Republican senator Lindsey Graham introduced a bill establishing a 15-week national limit on abortion, predictions that that bill would harm the GOP have been proven incorrect. The Republican position in the RealClearPolitics average of generic-ballot polls has improved from a one-point deficit in mid-September to a three-point lead. Florida senator Marco Rubio and North Carolina Senate candidate Ted Budd, both cosponsors of Graham’s bill, have seen their polling numbers tick upward. The bill seemed to be a clear asset to Republican Arizona Senate candidate Blake Masters, who used it to draw a contrast with his Democratic opponent Mark Kelly.

Democrats from Bernie Sanders to James Carville have begun to worry that the party is focusing too much on the issue of abortion. In September, a New York Times/Siena poll found that only 5 percent of voters said abortion was the most important issue. A month later, after tens of millions in Democratic abortion-themed ads had aired, that number remained stuck at exactly 5 percent. In the same poll, 44 percent of likely voters said the economy or inflation was the top issue.

Yet, last Tuesday, President Biden doubled down on abortion extremism when he delivered a speech on the topic at one of the few places where he’s still popular — Democratic National Committee headquarters in Washington, D.C. Biden vowed that if Democrats win enough seats in Congress, the first bill he’d sign would be the Democrats’ federal abortion bill. The mainstream press happily repeated Biden’s misleading claim that the bill would merely “codify Roe.” It is essential that Republicans continue to explain how extreme the Democrats’ abortion agenda really is.

They’re doubling down because abortion extremism is the ONLY CARD THEY HAVE TO PLAY…outside of allowing women to be ogled in locker rooms and beaten…quite literally…in sports by biologic men.

Meanwhile, the unrestricted slaughter of the soon-to-be-born isn’t the only extreme position on which Biden is doubling down in a desperate attempt to energize his deviant base:

Meanwhile, Jeff Foutch’s forward from the Manhattan Contrarian doesn’t bode well for Dimocrats come the day after the Tuesday after the first Monday in November.  This segment from Tucker’s Tuesday show says it all:

But as this next item details, given the policies they promote, is it any wonder Progressives are heading for a comeuppance of historic proportions?!?

Illinois candidate warns of ‘anarchy’ after criminal justice overhaul

Crime in Illinois could “spiral out of control” after a new law overhauling the state’s criminal justice system goes into effect in January, the mayor of a Chicago suburb said. “When I said that this is the most dangerous law I’ve ever seen, I believe that,” said Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau, who is running for Congress in Illinois’ 6th District.

The Illinois Safety, Accountability, Fairness and Equity-Today (SAFE-T) Act changes multiple parts of Illinois’ justice system with provisions like ending cash bail; limiting how flights determine whether defendants are flight risks; and allows defendants under electronic monitoring to leave home for 48 hours before they can be charged with escape. (Sorta like a “Head Start” for convicted felons!)

The law also implements a higher standard on when a defendant can be detained for several crimes, including second-degree murder, aggravated battery, arson and kidnapping. The new rule replaces cash bail with a judge’s determination on the defendant’s flight risk and risk to the public from the evidence prosecutors submit. The reforms being passed around the country revolve around the idea that “the criminal shouldn’t be held,” Pekau said. “I think that’s absurd,” he added.

Proponents have argued that the SAFE-T Act will combat systemic racism and make the criminal justice system more equitable since, according to a 2022 U.S. Commission on Civil Rights report, minorities disproportionately face higher rates of pretrial detention…”

Perhaps…and we’re really going out on a limb here…because minorities commit a disproportionately higher…MUCH higher…rate of crime?!?

Maryland couple ‘unable to sleep’ after strangers moved into home they are buying

“…The couple in Prince George’s County signed a contract with a bank to buy a vacant foreclosed home on Thursday in Clinton, according to WUSA9. When they left that meeting and drove by the property, the couple reportedly saw a U-Haul in the driveway and people moving in. The next day the people were still at the house and refusing to leave.

A Prince George’s County police officer did visit the house Thursday, but the department said the issue looks more like a “civil matter” for the sheriff. The Prince George’s County Police Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment Monday regarding whether or not the people are still occupying the home in Clinton.

The Sheriff’s Office, in a statement, told Fox News Digital that “our understanding is the Police Department referred the new homeowner to the court system after they determined a crime was not being committed“The Sheriff’s Office has had no contact with either party at this location and does not have any pending court ordered evictions at this location at this time,” it added…”

“After they determined a crime was not being committed”: We can only assume criminal trespass is no longer a felony in the Land of Gentle Living.  And if that’s the law, we’ll allow Harry Callahan to voice our thought on the subject:

Make no mistake about it, friends: What we’re looking at is a total breakdown of the criminal justice system and the rule of law deliberately engineered by Progressive politicians.

Fortunately for us, a significant majority of Americans…whether Black, Brown, Yellow, Red or White…still want their neighborhoods, streets and homes safe for themselves and their families, their schools institutions of learning rather than indoctrination, their morals based on Judeo-Christian values and time-honored traditions rather than the Progressive cause de jour, their borders secure and their nation safe behind the protection of a Military of unrivaled strength built for combat efficiency, not wokeness.

All of which fly in the face of every single Dimocratic policy and practice.

Next, we offer a septet of special selections certain to pique the interest of inquiring Conservative minds:

Courtesy of Jeff Foutch, Climate Depot relates an analysis by Goldman Sachs’ Jeff Currie who concludes $3.8 trillion of investment in renewables moved fossil fuels from 82% to 81% of overall energy consumption in 10 Years, a marginally better return than the federal government’s $23 trillion pissed away fruitlessly fighting the War on Poverty for almost 60 years, to no effect whatsoever.

(3). NRO’s Nate Hochman details the circular logic, or “unfalsifiable hypothesis”, regarding voter suppression which passes for rational argument in Progressive circles.

(4). One more moment of complete confusion means yet another clean up on Aisle #1 for 46*’s handlers.

Jim Geraghty suggests when a CNN reporter making the utterly mundane and accurate observation that “dismissing people’s real concerns isn’t a way to win them over is enough to get one of the designated drivers of the Biden clown car to react like George Brett after being accused of using pine tar, it’s a clear indication nerves are fraying in the West Wing.

(6). Meanwhile, as Townhall.com‘s Spencer Brown reports, AP’s chief White House correspondent Zeke Miller assures us if only the demented old deviant could personally hug and sniff his way into the heart of every single American, his approval ratings would soar.  That’s a tall order for a man who campaigns from his basement and draws crowds smaller than most AA meetings.

Here’s a second shot of the juice: As this video clearly indicates, this is one creepy dude:

Michigan family of four that mysteriously disappeared one week ago is located in Wisconsin

The Cirigliano family went missing after the father called 911 displayed ‘paranoia’ to responding officers

A Michigan family of four that disappeared last week after the father made a 911 call asking for police protection was located in Wisconsin on Sunday, the Fremont Police Department announced. Anthony and Suzette Cirigliano, both 51, and their children, Brandon, 19, and Noah, 15, were last seen on Sunday at their home in western Michigan about 45 miles north of Grand Rapids.

Fremont Police Department Chief Tim Rodwell previously told Fox News Digital that the father was “displaying to my officers paranoia and some concerns in regard to the FBI and CIA” the night before they disappeared. “Everyone is OK,” Anthony, the father, told a 911 dispatcher that night. “I need some police protection immediately. It is of vital national interest. It is related to September 11 and people want to erase me from the face of the Earth.”…”

Uh,…yeah…whatever.  No doubt Mr. Cirigliano also knows who killed JFK, possesses hard evidence the moon landings were faked and has Elvis’s current address.  Though we share his paranoia and concerns regarding the FBI!

On the Heavier Side

As usual, Matt Walsh hits the nail squarely on the head, particularly as regards airlines treat luggage versus passengers. And just to be clear, obesity is neither natural nor attractive: it is gross, disgusting and incredibly damaging to your health, which is why so many fat people died after contracting COVID.
