“The transgender phenomenon (specifically the rapid-onset variety) is not particularly new, though it seems to be a constant in the news these days. Ten years ago, a U.S. Navy SEAL shocked the country by declaring he was “transgender.”
His name is Chris Beck. In 2013, he made public his declaration that he was a woman whose name was now Kristin. He has since detransitioned and is vehemently speaking out and trying to warn Americans in general and parents in particular that “everything that happened to me for the last 10 years destroyed my life.” He further notes: “I destroyed my life. I’m not a victim. I did this to myself, but I had help.”
Beck, a highly decorated and seasoned SEAL, bitterly recalled his experience with psychologists who were quick to put him on hormones and “affirm” his identity instead of doing their jobs and actually helping him address and work through traumatic experiences in his life. Beck recounted: “I walked into a psychologist’s office [and] in one day I have a letter in my hand saying I was transgender. I was authorized for hormones. I was authorized all this other stuff.” He also apologized to the American public, confessing that the VA (read: taxpayers) paid for much of this treatment.
Sadly, this tale of malpractice by ideologically motivated healthcare providers is not uncommon. Several detransitioners have testified that they experienced the same thing. They were dealing with trauma and needed talk therapy.Instead, they were unconditionally affirmed and given harmful drugs. This cycle of affirmation without addressing the real issues that these people are struggling with is the underlying pathology leading to higher risk of suicide for this cohort.
…Beck is also disturbed by this monetary motive, saying: “This is a billion-dollar industry between psychologists, between surgeries, between hormones, between chemicals, between follow-up treatments. There are thousands of gender clinics popping up all over our country. And each of those gender clinics is going to be pulling in probably over $50 million.”
Beck is pleading with Americans to “wake up” to this grift before they’ve destroyed themselves or their children…”
And here we thought Progressives were all about the children…at least those who survived gestation.
For those who missed it some years back, here’s Ben Shapiro’s encounter with another hulking, mentally-defective SEAL who mistakenly thought himself a woman:
As Jed Clampett was wont to say of his nephew Jethro, “That boy ain’t right”. And neither is anyone else who believes themselves to be a gender opposite of that which they were born.
Since we’re on the subject of the mentally-impaired, who in their right mind would extoll the virtues of a harpy such as this?
“Will you commit to serving your full two-year term for the people of San Francisco?”

Boehner crying in tribute to Pelosi while talking about how his daughters are Democrats is a pretty good summation of Republican leadership over the past couple of decades https://t.co/qccwcscgVU
Now you know why, despite having had control of Congress and the White House for a good many years in the past decades, Republicans have achieved nothing of a concrete, lasting nature.
Perhaps, as this next story relates, it’s because, until quite recently, Conservatives haven’t controlled the courts:
“The Supreme Court of North Carolina struck down a 2018 voter ID law on Friday, claiming it discriminates against the state’s residents. The 2018 law, which requires residents to present identification before being able to vote, was previously deemed unconstitutional in 2021 by a lower state court.
The state Supreme Court’s Friday ruling affirmed the lower court’s ruling that the policy “was motivated by a racially discriminatory purpose.”The court also ruled that North Carolina’s state Senate map must be redrawn due to alleged Republican gerrymandering. The two decisions were passed along party lines 4-3 with Democrats supporting and Republicans dissenting.
The North Carolina Supreme Court is set for a massive upheaval in the new year.Beginning in January, the court will consist of five Republicans and two Democrats…”
Just so we’re clear, this is what the Dimocrats on the Supreme Court of North Carolina just determined:
In a related item of egregious judicial misconduct…
“Four female athletes who sought to have a Connecticut policy that permits males who identify as female to compete in girls’ athletic events have lost their case in the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals.
A three-judge panel of the federal court affirmed a lower court decision Friday dismissing Soule v. Connecticut Association of Schools, Inc., in which plaintiffs argued that the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference’s policy allowing transgender students to compete on girls’ teams put biologically female athletes at a disadvantage and deprived them of honors and opportunities…”
“The cremated remains of a former Navy lieutenant, executed in 1993 for the brutal murder of a female officer, are likely to be removed from Arlington National Cemetery, according to a provision quietly tucked into the military’s budget for next year.
It’s the result of a several-years-long veteran-led campaign to relocate the killer’s ashes, which was ignored and rebuffed by the cemetery and Pentagon before finding a sympathetic congresswoman, the Washington Post reported.
Lt. Andrew Chabrol was executed via electric chair for the 1991 kidnap, rape and murder of Petty Officer 2nd Class Melissa Harrington, who had reported him for sexual harassment. He blamed Harrington for ruining his career and marriage, and plotted his revenge in a journal where he called her “Nemesis.
He tied Harrington to a bed, wrapped her head in duct tape and strangled her with a rope. Since then, his remains have been kept in a vault at the U.S.’ premier military cemetery…”
“Likely”? Were it up to us, Chabrol would have been cremated and his ashes strewn in a septic tank.
Moving on, here’s a sextet of special selections certain to pique the interest of inquiring Conservative minds:
(3). Case in point, as NRO relates between January 2020 and November 2022, over 150 emails were exchanged between the FBI and former Twitter Trust and Safety head Yoel Roth, the individual who led the team responsible for suppressing what should have been a bombshell story about Hunter Biden’s laptop. In a significant number of the emails, the agency demanded Twitter crack down on election “misinformation”.
As Florida’s Matt Gaetz notes:
The FBI is designing what u see so they can control what you think & how u behave
Here’s the juice: Sure, some people in America are genuinely homeless, the vast majority temporarily. But as any honest individual with personal experience will tell you, America isn’t faced with a “homeless” crisis, it’s confronting an out-of-control epidemic of drug abuse and mental illness involving a group of individuals unwilling to obey rules or submit to any type of controls, and who have been enabled by decades of Dimocratic indulgence.
(5). How can you tell when Joe Biden’s lying?
PRO TIP: People in America aren’t getting thrown out of restaurants for being gay. But in just the last couple years, they HAVE been thrown out for being Christian. And they have been thrown out for being unvaccinated. https://t.co/nmhHgHKhgK
His lips move. Let’s be clear: These aren’t “gaffes”, they’re out and out patent prevarications. Like his father Satan, the truth just isn’t in Joe Biden.
Which brings us, appropriately enough, to The Lighter Side:
Then there’s these from Balls Cotton…
…and the lovely Shannon:
Finally, we’ll call it a wrap with a cross between News of the Bizarre and another titillating tale torn from the pages of The Crime Blotter, as we learn the…
“A passenger was caught last week attempting to board a flight in Maine with a hatchet and a homemade gun in his carry-on bag, according to TSA. TSA officers at the Portland International Jetport in Portland, Maine, discovered the items on Tuesday. Portland Police responded and confiscated the firearm, New England TSA spokesman Daniel Velez said.
Velez told MassLive that the passenger was a 50-year-old man headed to Philadelphia. He was allowed to keep the hatchet but had to move it to his checked luggage…”
Assuming there had to be more to the story (as we were unable to believe what we read), we tried, unsuccessfully, to unearth additional facts. So, we’re left with three incredulous questions: (i) Sooo…they let the guy catch his flight?!?; (ii) The TSA didn’t find a guy trying get a hatchet and a zip gun worth their time to interrogate a little further?!?; and, (iii) Did they even think to suggest Philadelphia authorities to keep an eye on this guy?!?
We’ll allow Sigourney Weaver to express our feelings knowing the TSA is on the job:

Video of the Day
Notice at no point in this report does anyone suggest aggressively pursuing and incarcerating the perpetrators of these brazen crimes. How bad do things have to get before Californians rise up and throw pandering Progressive politicians out on their useless asses?!?

The great VDH explains why Gavin Newsom’s vision for California, which is the Progressive model for America, simply ain’t sustainable.

As the Morning Jolt noted, when it came to FTX, Larry David was actually right.
