“For once, I have to agree with the White House. They’re right to deny that the debacle along the border with Mexico is President Obama’s Hurricane Katrina moment. It’s actually much worse.
…what we are witnessing is a humanitarian disaster that was created by a thoughtless administration that has trashed the rule of law on immigration and found itself surprised by a crisis of its own making. As bad as Bush’s hurricane optics were, history will judge Obama’s behavior far more harshly.”
Faster than a speeding bullet? Able to leap tall buildings with a single bound? 
Not hardly. More powerful than any possible combination of natural disasters? 
You bet! But as Politico reports, there’s at least one demographic group (other than die-hard Dimocrats and dimwits) still supporting Der Obafuhrer:
Speaking of Dimocratic dimwits, the WSJ reports on the latest on the scandal which just won’t go away:
On Wednesday the House Oversight Committee released an April 2013 email chain between Lois Lerner, who headed the IRS division that harassed philosophical opponents of President Obama, and an IRS technology specialist.
Less than two weeks after the IRS inspector general had circulated a draft report on the agency’s unlawful targeting of conservative groups, Ms. Lerner reached out to IT specialist Maria Hooke to inquire about IRS record-keeping of internal communications. Ms. Lerner wrote:
“I had a question today about OCS [Microsoft Office Communications Server]. I was cautioning folks about email and how we have several occasions where Congress has asked for emails and there has been an electronic search for responsive emails – so we need to be cautious about what we say in emails. Someone asked if OCS conversations were also searchable – I don’t know, but told them I would get back to them. Do you know?“
Ms. Hooke responded that individual employees could choose to save their communications, but that the software was not set to automatically save any messages.
Ms. Lerner’s response: “Perfect.”
Which makes this recent ruling from the U.S. District Court even more important:
But as the WSJ‘s Kimberly Strassel details, rank corruption and unconstitutional abuses of power are what makes THIS Administration’s world go round:
“In the smallest stories we sometimes find the biggest themes. The small story of the past month has been dysfunction at a backwater federal agency known as the Chemical Safety Board. Yet in this tale of obstruction, bullying and lawlessness we find what is now the clear pattern of the Obama administration…“
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, as Ann Coulter observes, the Mississippi contingent of the Tea Party exhibits the same errant aim as the rest of The Gang Who Still Can’t Shoot Straight:
“Chris McDaniel, candidate for the U.S. Senate from Mississippi, lost the Republican runoff to incumbent Sen. Thad Cochran last month, and now he is being led down a primrose path to political oblivion. McDaniel’s passionate supporters think that a moment of crisis for the country is a good time to treat control of the Senate as if it’s a prom queen election. Hoping for yet a third primary vote, McDaniel’s crew is going to prevent him from having any political career, ever again…”
And no, Sarah; any attempt to impeach The Obamao, though certainly appropriate and well-justified, is a losing proposition. On the Lighter Side…
