It’s Friday, July 1st, 2016…but before we begin, another of those forwards we just have to feature, this time a team effort from Tom Bakke and Bill Meisen in response to Hillary delivering a speech on income equality wearing an…”outfit”…beyond the reach of 99% of America (then again, who but Hillary would WANT one?!?):

I’m not posting this to razz Hillary for giving a speech about income inequality while wearing a $12,000 Armani jacket. I’m posting this to give KUDOS to Armani for being able to sell her a potato sack with sleeves for $12,000.

As Meisen noted when he saw it, the tent comes with extra large pockets; Huma’s in the right, and the MSM’s in the left.

Now, here’s The Gouge!

Leading off the first edition of July, some dissection of the Benghazi report absent the corrective lens of the MSM.  First, writing at Commentary Magazine, Noah Rothman offers his insight into…

The Benghazi Scandal You Always Knew

House Benghazi Report

“If the results of a two-year investigation into the Benghazi attacks feel politically charged, it is because this is a scandal about the administration’s response in Washington to a deadly attack on a diplomatic compound and CIA annex. For this, Barack Obama’s administration only has itself to blame. That hasn’t stopped Democrats from casting about in a frenetic effort to portray the fruitful and disturbing Republican-led investigation into these attacks as a partisan witch hunt.

The report from House Republicans on the Benghazi Committee is straightforward. The committee found that the U.S. military made no effort to intervene on behalf of the besieged Americans under attack in Benghazi over the course of that 13-hour assault. “Despite President Obama and Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta’s clear orders to deploy military assets,” the GOP report read, nothing was done to save the lives of the Americans who died only after hours of combat. It found that the White House relied on its political advisors and not its national security team to frame public perceptions of this attack so as to preserve the impression that the threat of Islamic terrorism overseas was on the decline.

Conflagration Prize 1

The committee found that then-United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice, who led the charge to exculpate the White House in the wake of that attack, contradicted and humiliated the State Department. Her appearance on the Sunday morning news programs following that attack betrayed what the Deputy Director of the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs said was the fact that the White House was  “very worried about the politics” of Benghazi. While the White House remains selective about what it divulges regarding the president’s activities and whereabouts on the night of the attack, the committee learned that Obama declined his daily intelligence briefing the day after. Finally, the investigations uncovered that administration officials, including Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, were convinced of the terroristic nature of the attack even while they were relating something very different about its character to the American people.

That seems simple enough. In the press, however, the race is on to transform the findings of this investigation into something far more complex…”

And has been…

ObamaBenghaziLies

since it went down!

As the editors at NRO note:

“…Key administration players knew from the first that this was a lie. Their best intelligence (including a last, desperate call from Stevens himself) was that the siege was a terrorist attack — coordinated by trained militants and obviously unrelated to violent, anti-American protests in Egypt earlier in the day. Clinton herself clearly knew it was a lie: As the committee report demonstrates, at the same time she was feeding the “blame the video” narrative to the pubic (and, execrably, to the parents of the fallen security officials at the solemn ceremony when their remains were returned), she was telling the truth to foreign officials and her daughter Chelsea. As she told the Egyptian prime minister in a phone call: “We know that the attack in Libya had nothing to do with the film. It was a planned attacknot a protest.”

The administration went into full damage-control mode, with White House apparatchik Ben Rhodes — who would later craft the false narratives that pushed Obama’s Iran deal over the goal line — counseling that the administration’s “goals” included “to underscore that these protests are rooted in an Internet video, and not a broader failure of policy.”

20131116_obama1

We’re shocked…SHOCKED…to find there’s lying flowing from this White House like water over Niagara Falls!

The entire episode is shameful: Foreign-service and intelligence personnel were left in what State Department insiders knew was a death trap even as the threat to them increased. When the inevitable attack came, they were left on their own. And when it came time to explain themselves, administration officials lied: Obama, Clinton, Rice, Rhodes, Carney, and the rest — serially and systematically. That most of the Americans in Benghazi were saved owes to the incredible valor of security personnel on the scene, two of whom gave their lives while the government responsible for protecting them refused to give the time of day.

Four years later, we still do not have all the answers. But the answers we do have are a disgrace, and they demand a reckoning.

One that may only come under a Republican Administration willing to bring to justice those who put personal political gain over the lives of those they swore to protect and defend.

Meanwhile, as Katie Pavlich observes over at Townhall.com, we’re left wondering…

Where Was President Obama The Night of Benghazi? We Still Don’t Know

benghazi-empty-chair

Where’s Barry?!?

After years of investigation, combing through tens-of-thousands of documents and conducting interviews with 75 witnesses and knowledgeable individuals, members of the Benghazi Select Committee officially released their final report on the September 11, 2012 attack this week. There’s still one major question that is left unanswered: Where was President Obama during the attack?

“I don’t know where he was,” Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy said during an interview on America’s Newsroom Wednesday.

There is nothing in the lengthy report detailing Obama’s whereabouts despite the Committee sending the President a list of questions about his role that night. According to reporting from Fox News Chief Intelligence Correspondent, Obama’s attorneys have advised him not to answer any questions regarding his whereabouts during the attack.

As a reminder, three years ago the White House classified Obama’s location and what he did that night as a “largely irrelevant” detail.

During the May 2, 2011 raid on Osama bin Laden’s complex the White House booked a photographer so we would know exactly where President Obama was.

Will we ever know where President Obama was the night of the Benghazi terror attacks, which left four Americans dead? I suppose time will tell.

Though this next item G. Trevor dug up by Anthony Martin writing at the Washington Examiner back in 2014 certainly gives us an idea not only where he was, but why he was there:

“…But the evidence tells the tale. It all started last week when former National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor told Bret Baier of Fox News that Obama was never in the Situation Room at the White House at all that horrific afternoon and evening. But he was, indeed, in the White House during the entire massacre. Where was he, then, if he was in the White House but was not engaged with military brass in the Situation Room attempting to figure out how the ambassador and others could be rescued?

Normally presidents go immediately to the Situation Room for briefings, updates, and strategy sessions with military and senior administration officials when there is a direct attack against Americans, particularly an American ambassador or other members of the U.S. government. The question is what military action, if any, would be an appropriate response to the situation at hand.

In the case of Benghazi, the major focus would be on rescue. After all, there was plenty of time to do so. The siege against the Libyan consulate lasted for at least nine hours. U.S. fighter jets could have been present on the scene flying over the consulate within three hours. Even if the ambassador himself could not have been saved, there was a chance at the very least. And the others, perhaps, could have been rescued before being killed. At least we would have tried.

But Obama was not a part of these discussions at all, at least not in the Situation Room. So, where was he and what was he doing? It is to be remembered that according to decades of White House protocol, military strategy and not politics are discussed in the Situation Room. Political strategy is conducted elsewhere, often in the family quarters.

…During a news conference Carney stated that Obama was in touch with his national security team constantly throughout the night, and that he had called Secretary Clinton at 10 p.m. to “get an update.”

Thus, the truth finally came out about the 10 p.m. conversation between Hillary and Obama. And why is that significant? Because shortly after that call, at roughly 10:30 p.m., Hillary issued a news memo on the attack which specifically blamed the massacre on an anti-Islamic film, an Internet video, made in the United States. She claimed that the inflammatory nature of the Internet video sparked outrage and spontaneous protests around the Muslim world. It was here, therefore, that the meme began that the consulate attack was spontaneous and perpetrated by protesters who had been offended by the film.

Yet no one at the Defense Dept., or the U.S. military, nor anyone on the ground in Libya had mentioned anything at all about a supposed violent spontaneous protest at the Libyan consulate. The CIA, which had operatives in the region, also confirmed that there had been no such protest in Benghazi against the film.

One thing, however, could be confirmed as early as 7 p.m. EST. The CIA and the U.S. military knew that this was a terrorist attack, pure and simple. And the group that claimed responsibility for it, Anshar al-Sharia, had direct connections to al Qaeda, which had not been decimated at all as Obama claimed but was still very much alive and well, operating through various and sundry localized terrorist groups going by various names. No one outside of Hillary and Obama had mentioned a single word about an inflammatory film in connection with the attacks. It was rank terrorism, period.

So, what was Obama doing throughout the night of Sept. 11, 2012 and likely into the wee hours of the morning on Sept. 12? He was developing campaign strategy in the family quarters of the White House, desperately attempting to figure out how to deflect attention away from his failed foreign policy and directing that attention sqarely to an obscure Internet video that no one had even heard about in Libya, much less seen…”

In other words, concocting a bald-faced lie to save his political career.  This isn’t “shameful” dear hearts, its absolutely abhorrent…and frankly, tending towards treason.

Meanwhile, the MSM continues to cover Hillary’s grossly over-sized hindquarters…

CNN’s Clinton Cash ‘Fact-Check’ Ends in Embarrassment for Cristina Alesci and Laurie Frankel

“CNN Money’s “fact-checkers” Cristina Alesci and Laurie Frankel ended up with egg on their faces on Wednesday after they rated as “false” a well-established and proven Clinton Cash fact involving Hillary Clinton’s State Department approving the transfer of 20 percent of U.S. uranium to the Russian government, as nine investors in the deal funneled $145 million to the Clinton Foundation.

Alesci and Frankel claim there’s “no hard evidence of a quid pro quo.” Naturally, they fail to note that the legal standard for conflicts of interest and corruption do not require a quid pro quo. Nor do they note that Hillary Clinton deleted and destroyed over 30,000 emails housed on her secret serverthe obvious location of any so-called “smoking guns.”…”

State Department Won’t Release Clinton Foundation Emails for 27 Months

Hillary-Winking-Odd-750x400

“Department of Justice officials filed a motion in federal court late Wednesday seeking a 27-month delay in producing correspondence between former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s four top aides and officials with the Clinton Foundation and Teneo Holdings, a closely allied public relations firm that Bill Clinton helped launch.

If the court permits the delay, the public won’t be able to read the communications until October 2018, about 22 months into her prospective first term as President

…The State Department originally estimated that 6,000 emails and other documents were exchanged by the aides with the Clinton Foundation. But a series of “errors” the department told the court about Wednesday evening now mean the total has grown to “34,116 potentially responsive documents.”

During Clinton’s four years as America’s chief foreign diplomat, her aides communicated with officials at the Clinton Foundation and Teneo Holdings where Bill Clinton was formerly both a client and paid consultant, on the average of 700 times each month, according to the Justice Department filing…”

so much more, we’re down with Hope ‘n Change in thinking, like Britain before us, there’s no other course of action open to America than…

Voting In Favor of “Breaks It

Voting For Breaks It 1

“…Enough already. This has got to stop. Choose whatever metaphor you like, but it’s time for a bull in the china shop, a hand grenade under the tent flap, or the biggest possible monkey wrench we can jam into the spinning gears of government.

Hope n’ Change doesn’t believe Trump will really deport millions of illegal immigrants, or stop Muslim immigration into the country. We don’t believe his “America first” trade policies will work (in fact, we think they’d cause a reduction in the American standard of living and wreak economic chaos). We’re not even sure he can build his fabled wall, let alone get Mexico to pay for it. (We are; he ain’t got a snowflake’s chance in Hell!)

But we also don’t believe that Trump wants to destroy important American values. We don’t think he’s corrupt. We don’t think he’s evil. We don’t think he’s owned by special interests. And we don’t think he’s lying about loving this country, its citizens, or his desire to make America great again.

A continuation of Barack Obama’s policies and liberal appointments to the Supreme Court will, we believe, be the death blow to an America that really was great…and which still has a scintilla of a chance of being great again.

Donald Trump is potentially a yuuuuge disruptor at a time when our political system needs huge disruption. Our nation would be far more likely to survive his probable policy failures than even a single term of Hillary Clinton’s toxic policy successes. Which is why we plan to cast a “Breaks It” vote for Trump in November. There is a lot that needs breaking.

We couldn’t have said it better ourself!
