“The Border Patrol reported the first major instance of migrant caravan-related violence Saturday, saying a Honduran man threw rocks at agents to try to keep from being arrested Friday in Arizona.The 31-year-old, whom authorities didn’t name, had climbed a tree to try to avoid capture, then lit the tree afire and began to throw rocks at the agents as well as a helicopter called in to help track him. Neither the agents nor the helicopter were hit by the projectiles.
The man was eventually arrested, and agents said he told them he was part of the migrant caravan that had been in the news. They said he had previous arrests in the U.S. and had been deported back in June…”
Sure sounds like a peace-loving refugee yearning to breath free fleeing political violence and oppression to us!

One is reminded of this by New York City mayor Bill De Blasio’s full-throated shouting of “socialism for all” from the rooftops of buildings whose height his politburo would determine and whose rents and occupants his commissars would control.
…One would be willing to believe De Blasio’s socialistic impulses arises out of genuine, if wrongheaded, concern for the working poor and the middle class, the people the Democrat “party of compassion” is allegedly the champion of, if it were not for De Blasio’s support for what some would call corporate welfare, welcoming cash-rich and taxpayer-subsidized Amazon’s new HQ to New York City while closing its borders to a Walmart invasion.
…Who wants Walmart greeters and cashiers moving to New York when you can have the high-rollers who work for Amazon? Amazon promises to deliver 25,000 jobs with an average salary of $150,000, which is a lot more than the average Walmart greeter or cashier makes.(Even though they’ve already trimmed the number of $150K positions by half, as the rest will be administrative, custodial, HR, etc.)
Wal-Mart gave people what they want at a price they can afford. Those “mom-and-pop” stores De Blasio champions were often inefficient, opportunistic price-gougers. Walmart believed a fair wage was and is one agreed upon between employee and employer. No one was forced to work or shop there. It wasefficient, innovative, successful, and non-union, and that is why it was and is hated for all these reasons. It is the poster child for roll-up-your-sleeves capitalism.
…The socialism of the coastal elites of which De Blasio is a leader is akin to the old Soviet politburo who lived very well as they dictated what could be built and where, what people would make and where and how they would live. Everyone was equal but some were more equal than others.

“In a remarkably inappropriate and blatantly political statement Wednesday, U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts chastised President Trump for the president’s quite accurate criticism of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and its rogue district and appellate court judges.
The spectacle of the ostensibly nonpolitical chief justice engaged in a dispute with the president of the United States is insulting to the Supreme Court and to our system of justice.
Shame on the chief justice.What he did is unforgivable, especially after the corrosive Senate confirmation battle over now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, who was the subject of bitter and baseless partisan attacks and character assassination by Senate Democrats.
With everyone looking for ways to remove the high court from the political thicket, Roberts strode arrogantly right into it.Sad day.
…“We do not have Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges,” Roberts shot back Wednesday, as if he were facing Trump in a presidential candidate debate. “What we have is an extraordinary group of dedicated judges doing their level best to do equal right to those appearing before them.”
But President Trump’s criticism of liberal judges in the 9th Circuit who were nominated by President Obama was accurate. These judges previously issued an order blocking the president’s Travel Ban Executive Order that was designed to protect our country from terrorists crossing our borders. As President Trump correctly noted, the Supreme Court later overturned the ruling by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
Roberts’ comments seemed particularly strange because he had never injected himself into a political debate before. In fact, Roberts sat quietly through President Obama’s 2010 State of the Union Address when Obama sharply attacked Supreme Court justices sitting in the audience for their ruling in the Citizens United case, which allowed unlimited political campaign contributions by unions and corporations.
President Obama falsely claimed in this speech that the Citizens United ruling allowed massive political contributions by foreign corporations. It did no such thing.
As the justices sat in the House chamber listening to his speech, President Obama embarrassed the court directly and fiercely. Not a peep from Roberts. Only Justice Samuel Alito quietly mouthed to himself “no, no” as Obama railed against foreign campaign contributions.Roberts has said nothing about Obama’s remarks in the eight years since.
So why did Roberts attack President Trump on Wednesday?
…The chief justice was institutionally the wrong person to make his point in criticizing President Trump. If the point was to be made at all, it should have been made by the usual suspects: the American Bar Association, any well-known and respected lawyer, or a prominent media commentator or newspaper editorial page.
The candidates for attacking President Trump are numerous and inoffensive. Perhaps Roberts could have chosen his favorite Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee. At any rate, he chose none of these options. One wonders why.
Why would Roberts insert himself, at this time, in this situation, to attack President Trump? He is a very smart man. This was not an accident or a coincidence.“
The plot thickens.
Were we permitted to cross-examine Chief Justice Roberts, our first question, as suggested by the keenest of legal minds, one Daniel Francis Feeney, Esq., would be: “Your Dishonor, if judges are all the same, why did we just have a monumental dust-up over the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court?!?”
Roberts would have us disregard what our eyes see and our ears hear, and believehim…despite the decisions of the 9th Circuit Court having been overturned 79% of the time in the period 2010-2015.
Here’s the juice: when it matters…when it really matters (as with Obamacare), you can count on Roberts being fully in the tank for whatever Progressives are promoting. Which is what makes the GOP’s increased margin of control in the Senate (Krysten Sinema for Jeff Flake being a wash!) coupled with Darth Ginsburg’s increasingly tenuous health all the more important.
John Roberts: yet another reason we refer to the Bushes as the family that keeps on giving…giving America the shaft! Having them as a First Family is like winning a million bucks…which is then shoved up your kiester a nickel at a time.
