It’s Friday, July 26th, 2019…but before we begin, courtesy of ABCNews“, what currently passes for “reporting” in the MSM:

Black trans woman killed in S. Carolina is the 12th in 2019

The 12th known transgender person to violently die this year was found fatally shot in South Carolina. News outlets report 29-year-old Denali Berries Stuckey was found dead Saturday on the shoulder of a North Charleston road. Deputy Chief Scott Deckard said Monday the investigation is ongoing.

The Human Rights Campaign says all the victims in 2019 have been black transgender women.

Chase Glenn, the executive director of the Alliance For Full Acceptance in North Charleston, says Stuckey is the third known black trans woman murdered in South Carolina since 2018. The state is one of five without hate crime laws.

Brooklyn Lindsey was the 11th trans person to die this year. The 32-year-old was found fatally shot last month on her porch in Kansas City, Missouri.

Wait, are the victims transgendered “women” or transgendered “persons”?!?  We must confess our confusion.

We must also observe the “reporter” is offering facts not in evidence, namely any connection whatsoever between South Carolina lacking any hate crime laws and (a) any reduction in hate crimes in states which have passed hate crime laws, and (b) that the deaths of any of the 12 “known transgendered persons” were as a result of hate crimes.

Here’s the juice: truth be told, Brooklyn Lindsey…

…”the 11th trans person to die this year”, was, at least according to her accused killer

…the victim of a proposition-turned-bad:

Marcus Lewis, 41, is charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm in the death of 32-year-old Brooklyn Lindsey…Court documents say Lindsey was shot multiple times and that DNA testing on shell casings led to Lewis.

When confronted with the DNA evidence, Lewis allegedly told detectives that on the morning of the murder, he saw Lindsey walking on Independence Avenue. Lewis told investigators Lindsey allegedly approached him and tried to solicit a date.

When he tried to walk away, Lewis said Lindsey followed him, and they were involved in a fight. Court records say he told police he shot her before leaving the scene.

Besides, if the article at foxkc4.com is to be believed, Marcus Lewis didn’t require any specific hatred to commit a crime:

Lewis was arrested on a stop order for a separate investigation into charges of aggravated domestic violence and the armed robbery of a business. He’s charged with robbery and armed criminal action for an incident that occurred on March 23. He also faces weapons charges for an incident that happened on May 19.

Lewis is also facing charges in two separate cases, including a robbery and armed criminal action case and weapons charges.

Not to inject any personal accountability into the equation, but could it be the lifestyle of the departed had more to do with their untimely demise than their transgender status, let alone whether the state in which they met it had passed hate crime legislation.  After all, it seems Missouri’s laws against robbery, assault and illegal gun possession hadn’t served to dissuade Mr. Lewis from a life of crime.

Just sayin’.

Now, here’s a relatively abbreviated edition of The Gouge!

First up, the following three video clips from Silent Bob Mueller’s appearance on Capitol Hill tells you all you need to know about the true nature of his “investigation”:

And we’ve saved the best for last:

Other reactions ranged from “reasoned”…

…and/or “decidedly dubious”…

…to “conspicuously concerned”:

Then there’s the “utterly detached“…

from reality!!!

Yeah, the Steele Dossier and subsequent FBI/DOJ witch hunt weren’t lawless; it was the duly-elected President who was lawless!  Harvard Law School grads should be suing for refunds on their tuition.

As per our Quote of the Day at the top of the page, while we’ll leave it to Bill Meisen and Best of the Web’s Jim Freeman to succinctly summarize Mueller’s village idiot act

It seems the person that learned the most about what’s in the Mueller Report on Wednesday was Robert Muelller.

House Democrats hoped that Wednesday’s hearings would allow them to highlight their favorite portions of the Mueller report for people who haven’t read it. Democrats didn’t expect this segment of Americans to include the author.

…for an act is exactly what it was…we’ll give the WSJ‘s Kim Strassel the last word, as she explains…

What Mueller Was Trying to Hide

His investigation was about protecting the actual miscreants in the collusion hoax.

Special counsel Robert Mueller testified before two House committees Wednesday, and his performance requires us to look at his investigation and report in a new light. We’ve been told it was solely about Russian electoral interference and obstruction of justice. It’s now clear it was equally about protecting the actual miscreants behind the Russia-collusion hoax.

The most notable aspect of the Mueller report was always what it omitted: the origins of this mess. Christopher Steele’s dossier was central to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s probe, the basis of many of the claims of conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia. Yet the Mueller authors studiously wrote around the dossier, mentioning it only in perfunctory terms. The report ignored Mr. Steele’s paymaster, Fusion GPS, and its own ties to Russians. It also ignored Fusion’s paymaster, the Clinton campaign, and the ugly politics behind the dossier hit job.

Mr. Mueller’s testimony this week put to rest any doubt that this sheltering was deliberate. In his opening statement he declared that he would not “address questions about the opening of the FBI’s Russia investigation, which occurred months before my appointment, or matters related to the so-called Steele Dossier.” The purpose of those omissions was obvious, as those two areas go to the heart of why the nation has been forced to endure years of collusion fantasy.

Mr. Mueller claimed he couldn’t answer questions about the dossier because it “predated” his tenure and is the subject of a Justice Department investigation. These excuses are disingenuous. Nearly everything Mr. Mueller investigated predated his tenure, and there’s no reason the Justice Department probe bars Mr. Mueller from providing a straightforward, factual account of his team’s handling of the dossier…”

In other words, far from the doddering old fool…

…he pretended to be, Bob Mueller is a crafty creature of The Swamp

…i.e., just another despicable Deep State piece of…

…dung.  In other words, we wouldn’t piss on him were he fully engulfed in flames.

Since we’re on the subject of contemptible pieces of human excrement, if you haven’t viewed Tucker Carlson’s Wednesday segment at our Video of the Day (accessible through link #2 immediately beneath our Quote of the Day), you won’t understand why Jerry Nadler has been wailing and gnashing his teeth for the past two days, having just promised on Sunday Wednesday’s hearings would provide…

Substantial evidence President Trump is ‘guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors’ contained in Mueller report

Unfortunately for this bloviated bag of bovine discharge, his Progressive vision once against ran up against reality, as…

Still, Nadler’s loss is the country’s gain…particularly as November 2020 looms closer and closer…forcing Progressives to move further and further…

Speaking of moving farther and farther Left, the phenomenon seems to have infected, as least to some degree, both sides of the aisle, as FOX News is reporting how a…

Bipartisan House group introduces bill to help those with crippling student debt

Question: when did student loans, particularly in the pursuit of manifestly valueless majors, become different from any other form of debt the cost of which the borrower ultimately couldn’t cover…be it for an ill-advised investment or business opportunity, a mortgage beyond the homeowner’s means or an automobile the buyer couldn’t afford?!?

Answer: no difference WHATSOEVER!!!  The forgiveness of student loans simply buys the votes of ignorant, unemployable Millennials who’ve yet to move out of their parents’ basements.

Which brings us to The Lighter Side:

Finally, we’ll call it a wrap with this absolutely accurate depiction of the insane asylum which is the once Golden State courtesy of Speed Mach…
