It’s Friday, September 11, 2020…but before beginning, we offer two simple words:

Not EVER!

Now, here’s The Gouge!

First up, watching this scene from Chernobyl earlier this week…

…we were struck by the parallel between the miner’s awareness he was being fed a line of bull regarding his crew’s promised protection from Reactor #4’s radiation and America’s realization the restrictions placed upon us by those in power, purportedly to “flatten the curve” and combat the Wuhan virus…and absolutely critical, we were told, to the health and safety of the country…have been routinely ignored by those who enacted them.

In an item featured in last Friday’s edition, Jim Geraghty highlighted some of more egregious lowlights brought to us by Liberal lowlifes:

Her [Pelosi] experience in the salon can be put alongside Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot similarly getting a visit from a stylist during quarantine, while telling Chicagoans, “getting your roots done is not essential”; Virginia governor Ralph Northam mingling with crowds without a mask on Virginia Beach shortly before announcing a mask rule with criminal penalties; New Jersey governor Phil Murphy breaking his own executive order barring large gatherings; Illinois governor J. B. Pritzker’s family taking trips to Florida and Wisconsin while the state had stay-at-home orders and bans on “nonessential travel” in place; Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer’s husband asking a marina owner for special treatment; New Mexico governor Lujan Grisham asking a jewelry store employee to reopen a closed store to have some jewelry delivered; New York City mayor Bill de Blasio visiting his gym as the rest of the city shut down; Beaumont mayor Becky Ames visiting a nail salon that was supposed to be closed during lockdown; the mayor of Alton, Ill., ordering a crackdown on open bars and learning that his wife was at one of them…and I’m sure there are other examples of lawmakers and their families breaking their own rules and restrictions during this pandemic. You can throw in other cases of not-quite-rule-breaking, such as bad judgment on the part of Senator Rand Paul, who decided to keep working at the U.S. Capitol while he was waiting for results from his coronavirus test.

(And this isn’t even getting into the CNN prime-time anchors and ABC News anchors who broke quarantines as well.)

What’s worse than their lies and hypocrisy are the lives and businesses snuffed out by their single-minded pursuit of political power and personal wealth.

BTW, in yesterday’s Morning Jolt, what Bob Woodward represents as news, Geraghty terms…

Nothing New under the Sun

You know Trump already said all this stuff publicly, right?…”

In a related example of Progressive hypocrisy, writing at The Washington Times, Valerie Richardson records how…

Kavanaugh critic Kamala Harris shows support for Jacob Blake despite sex-assault charge

Blake pleads not guilty to third-degree sexual assault on ex-girlfriend

Sen. Kamala Harris believed Christine Blasey Ford, but whether she believes Jacob Blake’s ex-girlfriend is another matter.

Ms. Harris offered her support Monday for Mr. Blake, 29, who remains hospitalized after being shot in the back by an officer in Kenosha, Wisconsin, speaking with him by phone and visiting with several of his relatives and attorneys at Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee.

She later called the meeting “really wonderful,” adding that she wanted to “express concern for their well-being and of course, for their brother and their son’s well-being, and to let them know that they have support.”

The well-wishes came even though Mr. Blake has been charged with sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend, while Ms. Harris is known as a champion of the #MeToo movement, gaining national fame for her 2017 grilling of then-Judge Brett Kavanaugh…”

Thus has Harris moved from the position she held before she became Biden’s running mate…

…to where she stands today:

The personal principles of Progressive politicians: like a significant number of their constituents’ gender identities, they’re fluid!

Speaking of Progressives who’d say or do anything to advance their politics, The Washington Free Beacon‘s Jack Beyrer details how the…

U.N. Secretary General Blames Coronavirus on the Patriarchy

“…“The pandemic is only demonstrating what we all know: that millennia of patriarchy have resulted in a male-dominated world with a male-dominated culture which damages everyonewomen, men, girls, and boys,” U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres said in an August 31 speech shared by the official U.N. Twitter account this weekend.

“We must also emerge from this crisis with women’s equal leadership and representation,” Guterres added in his speech. “The past months have seen a growing recognition in the media and through academic research highlighting what we have known anecdotally for years: that women leaders are extremely effective…”

This from the head of an organization which has never elected a female leader in its 75-year history, as well as provides numerous programs in support of nations who not only limit or deny rights to women, but actively denigrate, malign and/or mutilate them.

Besides, every knows the real source of the Wuhan virus:

Next up, in the in the Boys Who Cry Wolf segment, while Adam Schiff assures us THIS TIME

Best of the Web introduces us to the man who will surely be Hiden Biden’s choice to mislead what was once America’s premier law enforcement agency, as Jim Freeman wonders…

How Would He Know?

Speaking of bogus claims of Russian collusion, RealClearPolitics has the transcript of a PBS interview with former FBI official Peter Strzok, who is now expressing a striking certainty on a related subject:

Strzok, defending China, called it “absolutely false,” “deeply misleading,” and “inaccurate” to claim that the communist country is interfering in the 2020 presidential election like Russia.

Strzok’s ability to accurately assess a foreign threat to the nation’s electoral process is about as finely tuned as his taste in paramours.

Which brings us, appropriately enough, to The Lighter Side:

Then there’s these from Balls Cotton…

…along with one from the lovely Shannon:

Finally, we’ll call it a week with the Sports Section, courtesy of Brandon Tatum’s comments on one of the most disgusting displays of wokeness we’ve ever forced ourselves to endure:

Pardon us while we take an appropriate period to reflect on Herbstreit’s words, and contemplate our own inherent racism: Thousand one…thousa…

Kirk Herbstreit: he puts the “insufferable woke douche” in ‘insufferable woke douche bag”!
