It’s Friday, November 5th, 2021…but before beginning, courtesy of Balls Cotton, we present another picture worth far more than a mere thousand words…

…particularly in light of this item from FOX which informs us…

USA Today snubs Winsome Sears, Jason Miyares from report on ‘candidates of color’ who won historic elections

Much of the media have downplayed, ignored the diverse GOP ticket in Virginia

Virginia rocked the political world with Glenn Youngkin leading the Republican ticket to victory in the commonwealth that President Biden won by ten points last year. The two other big winners were Winsome Sears, who will become Virginia’s first woman of color lieutenant governor, and Jason Miyares, who will be the state’s first Hispanic attorney general.

However, neither of them was mentioned in USA Today’s roundup of the diverse candidates that emerged victorious this week.

“As polls closed late Tuesday, states throughout the country saw a range of candidates of color racking up election wins in historic results,” politics reporter Chelsey Cox began her report. “The gains ranged from mayoral elections to state offices, in many cases the first time such posts have been won by people of color or candidates from marginalized communities.”

The report then listed several Democrats who won historic races like Asian-American Michelle Wu winning the Boston mayoral race, Eric Adams becoming the second Black mayor of New York City, Ed Gainey becoming the first Black mayor of Pittsburgh, Aftab Pureval becoming the first Asian-American mayor of Cincinnati and Michigan’s Abdullah Hammoud becoming the first Arab-American mayor of a city with a high concentration of Arab population.

Critics bashed USA Today for the glaring omissions.

“Bang up journalism, USA Today,” RealClearInvestigations senior writer Mark Hemingway reacted.

“The corrupt corporate media isn’t interested in reporting accurately. They’re only interested in advancing their leftist agenda,” Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, tweeted.

“This why ordinary people just kind of assume the media is lying or only telling part of the story in service to some ideological agenda. Almost every time, that’s exactly what’s happening,” The Federalist political editor John Daniel Davidson wrote.

“I would really love a Stelter or a Darcy to explain how stuff like this isn’t responsible for the completely eroded trust that so many people have in the media. It’s not that we’re being told that you’re bad. We’re seeing it for ourselves,” Tablet Magazine CTO Noam Blum said…”

Keep in mind, we couldn’t care less that Sears and Miyares are of Jamaican and Cuban ancestry, though it’s important to note Sears’ story conclusively confirms, contrary to Progressive propaganda, the American dream is still alive and well, and eminently achievable for anyone willing to work for it.

But since this is the way the Socialists keep score, such a glaring omission had to be highlighted.

Now, here’s The Gouge!

First up, meet the new boss…

…in no way, shape or form the same as the old boss:

So, congratulations, Virginia: You’ve gone from Governor Blackface…

…to the real deal!

And all the corrupt king’s horses…

….and all the corrupt king’s men…

…couldn’t make Terry governor again.

Editor’s Note: Reports Abrams immediately drove to the nearest Wendy’s and wolfed down two Big Bacon Cheddar Triple Cheeseburgers, an order of Baconator fries and a large Orange Fanta remain unconfirmed…but all too believable, particularly as grape soda isn’t on Wendy’s menu.

Meanwhile, the Progressives’ propagandists in the MSM continue to deny…

…what irrefutable facts prove to be true:

recent statement by an Indiana school administrator explaining how the Socialists’ subterfuge functions certainly doesn’t aid in their deception.

This is akin to Dr. Faux Chi continuing to deny funding gain-of-function research in the very lab that gave the world the Wuhan virus by refusing to admit what everyone knows to be true on the basis of semantics.  Or a killer murdering his victim on camera in front of law enforcement officers with his fingerprints on the weapon, then denying he did it.

We swear, if Socialists could realize some political benefit from claiming the sky is green rather than blue, their MSM shills, in a sharp departure from their usual conduct, would claim any opinions to the contrary were due to colorblindness.

All of which leads the Journal‘s Holman Jenkins to conclude…

Democrats Can Retire the White Sheets

Virginia’s contest was a test of whether Americans like being called racists.

With his upset defeat Tuesday night, it was fitting that Terry McAuliffe’s easy run to the Virginia governorship blew up over the school board issue, itself an absurd culmination of the Democratic strategy of painting every opponent of their policies as a white supremacist and pro-Trump Nazi.

Joe Biden came to the presidency gifted with two vaccines, a rocket ship of an economic rebound, and a mandate for moderation, and yet has acted in office like his only constituency is the left. If he can’t satisfy their every policy wish, as I pointed out in May, at least he can give them the white supremacist menace.

And so it has continued with ever-increasing insistence: The excessive congressional flogging of the Jan. 6 riot. The voting rights kabuki as if democracy’s survival depends on a bunch of reforms nobody had been thinking about the day before yesterday. The anti-anti-critical-race-theory panic that portrays dissenting middle-class parents as the equivalent of terrorists.

It culminated in a ludicrous and embarrassing performance when the White House and staffers of the National School Boards Association ginned up a letter demanding that protesting parents be prosecuted under the Patriot Act. That letter was soon disavowed by the association. Attorney General Merrick Garland, who on its slender premise mobilized the FBI, was left twisting in the wind. And so was Mr. McAuliffe, who was supposed to be a shoo-in until he waded foolishly into the controversy by suggesting parents deserved no say in their kids’ schooling.

And yet, as if to demonstrate their imperviousness to any doubt, Mr. McAuliffe’s allies sent voters to the polls this week with a final note clanging in their ears: the now-admitted employment of fellow Democrats to masquerade as white-supremacist supporters of his Republican opponent, Glenn Youngkin, who nonetheless secured the victory in Tuesday’s race.

Mr. McAuliffe had to disavow this too, but not before his staff were shown to have busily promoted the canard with their tweets…”

Meanwhile, who was the biggest winner Tuesday evening?  The good ole’ U.S. of A., as the voters’ thumbs-down on 46*’s agenda greatly empowered Senate holdouts…

Unfortunately, the biggest loser was our national security, as there’s no doubt America’s enemies took careful note not only of Biden’s rumored incontinence…

…but his indisputable incompetence, as…

China mocks “powerless” Biden over climate summit “apology

So, Joe and Kyrsten feel a lot more comfortable with their opposition to “Build Back Better”…and The Donald should finally understand his time has come…and gone…and he needs to stay the heck away, entrusting the country to the care of those who possess all of his strengths

…but none of his numerous, glaring weaknesses.  P.S. When in doubt, choose “C”, at least for now.

Next, we offer a octet of specially selected items certain to pique the interest of inquiring Conservative minds:

(1). NRO‘s Alexandra DeSanctis records Progressives’ predictable response to the ass-whuppin’ voters administered on Tuesday: Left-wing pundits and celebrities immediately began to assert that the Democratic losses were the result of voters’ white-supremacist sympathies.

(2). As Jim Geraghty observes at his Morning Jolt, after 46* unambiguously referred to recent reports his administration is considering paying $450,000 per person to migrant families separated under the Trump administration as “garbage” and “not true”…

Even the American Civil Liberties Union is publicly arguing that President Biden “hasn’t been fully briefed” on what his own administration is doing.

Which causes Jim to wonder:

Is Biden being kept out of the loop? Is Biden lying? Or was Biden told about this proposal and simply doesn’t remember it? But remember, only the worst people in the world would ask if Biden’s memory is good enough to handle the job of the presidency.”  The fact the White House later walked 46*’s denial back only adds to the confusion.

(3). The Epoch Times reports the Department of Labor has announced the OSHA COVID-19 vaccine mandates may be extended to include small businesses.

Here’s the juice: unless America throws off the yoke of Socialism in the guise of the Dimocratic Party, the WuFlu mandates and lockdown measures are a precedent Progressives will be more than willing to use again in the future anytime they choose, be it in the name of “social justice”, “climate justice” or any other cause they consider politically…and personally…profitable at the time.

(4). Speaking of labor-created problems, the Journal‘s Allysia Finley reminds us why California is the weakest link in the nation’s supply chain: the state’s labor and environmental policies.

(5). As Leah Barkoukis suggests at Townhall.com, if Youngkin’s upset was monumental, the results in one New Jersey district are a “political earthquake, as Ed Durr, a truck driver who’s never held political office, defeated Steve Sweeney, the “king” of the Garden State senate.  As Leah noted:

Sweeney and his Assembly running mates had spent more than $1 million as of late October, records show.

Durr, of Logan Township, and his running mates raised just $10,460, according to an Oct. 27 campaign finance report. By contrast, when New Jersey’s largest teachers’ union sought to unseat Sweeney in 2017, it spent about $5 million, and he still won by 18 points.

Still, if the teachers’ union tried to unseat Sweeney, he can’t be all bad!

(6). In a related item, you’ll be shocked to learn in the unexpectedly close race for New Jersey governor, the votes from 56 voting machines were shut down and their ballots not counted Tuesday night in Essex County.  Essex County Clerk Christopher Durkin attributes the problem to “poll worker error”, and Durkin urged residents not to jump to conclusions as to why the 56 machines were shut down…despite the similarities to how voting machines in four swing states “shut down” around 0300 on the first Wednesday in November, 2020.

(7). Durham ain’t done.

(8). As NRO‘s Charlie Cooke records, despite her party’s shellacking on Tuesday, Nancy the Red seems determined to force a vote on 46*’s manifestly unpopular “Build Back Better” agenda, literally sending her most vulnerable Socialist sheep to the slaughter come November 2022.

Which brings us, appropriately enough, to The Lighter Side:

Then there’s these from Doug Burr…

…one Cardinal Fang via Balls Cotton…

…Speed…

…the lovely Shannon…

…and last, but certainly never least, Ed Hickey:

Finally, since we’re on the subject of the Biden-created border crisis, we’ll call it a week with yet another sordid story straight from the pages of The Crime Blotter, as FOX informs us how a…

Honduran illegal immigrant charged with murder entered US falsely claiming to be unaccompanied minor

Thus are four children left fatherless while the blood of one more innocent stains 46*’s already-crimson hands.
