It’s Monday, October 18th, 2021…but before we begin, here’s a headline the MSM will do its best to hide:

Rasmussen Poll Shows Majority of Voters Believe “Cheating Affected Outcome of 2020 Election

A Rasmussen Reports poll released earlier this week showed that a majority of likely voters think cheating affected the 2020 presidential election. What’s more, this number has increased not only with all voters, but Democrats, Independents, and Republicans. (Editor’s Note: ?) According to results from October 56 percent of all likely voters believe that “it is likely that cheating affected the outcome of the 2020 presidential election,” including 41 percent who say it’s “very likely.”…”

In a related item, as FOX News reports…

Michigan officials have charged 3 women with attempted voter fraud in 2020 election

Michigan officials charged three individuals with attempted voter fraud in relation to the 2020 general election, but have urged the public to stop spreading claims of “widespreadfraud

Officials said the outcomes of the investigations prove Michigan’s anti-fraud measures are effective, as only one of the instances was caught after the end of voting. Less than 1% of the 5.5 million votes in Michigan have thus far been tied to election fraud…”

Look at the numbers and do the math for yourself.  1% of 5.5 million votes is 55,000 votes, which is the approximate total of fraudulent votes Michigan officials have identified thus far.  46*’s margin of “victory” in Michigan was about 2.8%, so it wouldn’t take an awful lot of unidentified fraud…say, in Deetroit…to swing the election.  Besides, does anyone really think Wretched Gretchen’s bureaucrats are looking that hard?!?

Most importantly, as Kurt Schlichter highlights in another item to follow, the Michigan numbers only account for known traditional electoral fraud.  They don’t include the impact of unlawful rule changes, billionaire donations” to government election agencies and the rigging by the mainstream and social media which accompanied the 2020 vote in Michigan and every other battleground state.

So why are so many Republicans and NeverTrumpers so intent on convincing Americans what our eyes saw and ears heard never happened?

Now, here’s The Gouge!

First up, a pair of pictures worth far more than a mere two thousand words:

They speak volumes.

Next, writing at Townhall.com, Kurt Schlichter suggests we…

Be Glad About Pompeo’s Doomed Primary Challenge To Trump

“…Now, to point out that Mike Pompeo’s chances of prevailing in the primary are about the same as Kamala Harris winning “Border Czar of the Year” is not to throw shade on him. Pompeo would make a fine president. I have heard him speak on the Trump Doctrine, the America First foreign policy that he helped execute and that the current crusty occupant of the White House’s serial failures have fully vindicated. He was excellent, demonstrating a deep and thorough understanding of the challenges we face (something The Donald could never do.), which – contrary to our current pseudo-leadership’s view – are not climate change or systemic racism. He’s very conservative. Despite him being a West Pointer, should he be nominated we can all give him our enthusiastic support. And if he is nominated over Trump, we can all ride on our unicorns to the polling places to vote for him.

Pompeomania is just not a thing and isn’t going to be.

The best argument for Pompeo is that, unlike Trump, he doesn’t scare the unsatisfied suburban wine women who make up the Democrat base like Trump does, but don’t worry – he’ll be literally Hitler when the time comes. The argument against him is that he’s bland. Trump oozes charisma (and, to leftists and cruise ship cons, its opposite) while Mike Pompeo inspires, at best, “Well, I guess he’s okay. Yawn.”  (Really?!?  We’re neither a Leftist nor a cruise ship Conservative, and we deem The Donald to have all the charisma of a turd in a punch bowl.)

To want a real primary challenge is not the throw shade on Trump either. A real campaign will sharpen Trump, hone him, and get him ready for a real fight, be it against Kamala or someone remotely competent.

This should not be a coronation. Trump has to earn his right to make his Grover Cleveland move. That means a real primary with a real challenger, not a media-driven, toobinesque vanity run by some Never Trump doofus like Larry Hogan or the Beltway Cowgirl, who will have nothing to do after being tossed from office next year.

We saw what not having a challenge did to Hillary. She was out-of-shape, soft, unready, and unprepared. Trump needs to go into the general with momentum, the momentum one gets from crushing his primary opponents. And Trump thrives on competition – if you want him to win the general in 2024, then you want him to spar hard in the primary.

Trump has to work out some kinks in his delivery. (Just some?!?) As Byron York observed, at a recent rally he had the crowd rocking when he was roasting President * over his myriad failures, from the border to Afghanistan to inflation and beyond. Yet, when Trump started going on and on about 2020 in excruciating detail, the rally got off to a flying stop.

If his campaign is about relitigating the last one, we lose. We all know 2020 was rigged. I was in Nevada lawyering for the president in the aftermath, so I saw the traditional fraud, the unlawful rule changes, the zillionaires’ ”donations” to government election agencies, and the informal rigging of the media and corporations in 2020. But that’s the past; the 2020 fight is over. The only thing I want to hear about it is how Ronna McDaniel is preparing – with lots of lawyers and lots of money – for the fight in 2024, because her inexcusable failure to prepare for the legal fights in the half-dozen blue cities where the shenanigans took place caused that fiasco. The Arizona audit revealed a bunch of corruption. Great. What is the name of the GOP law firm currently filing lawsuits in Arizona to fix those issues? Tumbleweeds.

And they are boring tumbleweeds. A boring Trump is a losing Trump, and [what] talking about 2020 won’t win is a single new voter. Conversely, the Democrats whining like little female doggies over the January 6th insignificant “insurrection” is their own losing tangent. Fix the problems, then talk about how Democrats suck. There’s your winning strategy.

While we understand Kurt’s point, the fact remains Pompeo would be infinitely preferable as the Republican nominee, particularly with Ron DeSantis as his running mate.  Though if Pompeo and Trump both choose to run, the only real question will be what inanely derisive nickname The Donald assigns his best cabinet pick and, outside of Mike Pence, his most loyal subordinate.

Speaking of Dimocrats who suck (but we wax redundant), FOX informs us half of the…

Members of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights blast AG Garland for memo on parents protesting school boards

Members ask Garland to provide examples showing how federal involvement is needed in parent protests

Four out of the eight members of the U.S Commission on Civil Rights have penned a letter to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, chastising him for his recent memo regarding parents who protest school boards.

“We write to express our concerns regarding a recent memorandum issued by your office,” the four members wrote in the letter, questioning Garland’s motive for issuing the memo which instructed the FBI to take the lead on a task force to address threats against school officials, including creating a centralized way to report such threats.

“Your memorandum did not cite any specific examples of ‘harassment, intimidation and threats of violence’ that would provide any basis for law enforcement action by the Department,” the letter read. “We are concerned that much of what the NSBA calls threats and acts of intimidation—and compares to “domestic terrorism and hate crimes”—can be merely classified as political speech.”

The members also concluded that if “a few of these parents have gotten out of hand and made threats,” then local law enforcement is “entirely appropriate” in handling the situation. The members also asked Garland whether he is surprised that “concerned parents across the country view [his] memorandum as an endorsement of the NSBA’s description of their protests as comparable to “domestic terrorism.”

The members closed the letter by asking Garland to provide “specific examples” of “harassment, intimidation and threats of violence” which Garland claimed as evidence for the need for federal intervention…”

Merrick Garland:

Then there’s this sextet of specially selected items intended for inquiring Conservative minds:

(1). Senate Banking Committee Ranking Member Pat Toomey last week asked 46*s pick for Office of the Comptroller of Currency, Saule Omarova, to turn over a copy of her thesis written while a student at Moscow University – in both English and the original Russian – for review by the committee no later than Oct. 13.  As FOX relates, Omarova has declined the request to date.

(2). Writing at Townhall.com, Landon Mion tells us, so as to “advance racial justice and equity”, the NCAA Standardized Test Task Force recommended high school students preparing to compete in Division I or Division II sports should not have to submit SAT or ACT scores.  You know,…because Black athletes, while faster than their White counterparts, just ain’t as smart!

(3). Delta Airlines’ CEO announced the airline will ditch its previously announce COVID vaccine mandate.  Sounds like Delta learned from the recent experience of Southwest, which had to cancel at least 1,800 flights mere days after it announced a coronavirus vaccine mandate for employees; and, as The Epoch Times reports, STILL hasn’t taken the lesson to heart.

(4). In what should come as a shock only to those who’ve drunk deeply of the MSM’s COVID Kool-Aid, in her new book What Really Happened In Wuhan, Australian investigative reporter Sharri Markson details how Dr. Faux Chi misled the Trump Administration and the American public regarding his involvement with and funding of gain-of-function research he knew to be potentially and exceptionally hazardous in a Wuhan lab U.S. authorities knew to be substandard and unsafe.

(5). Since we’re on the subject of patent prevarication and absolute bullsh*t, NRO‘s Phil Klein records the Congressional Budget Office has exposed the Dimocrats’ spin on taxes, revealing the numbers make it clear the underlying driver of deficits is abnormally high spending rather than abnormally low levels of taxation.

(6). Meanwhile, as evidenced by this item courtesy of Daniel Greenfield via Balls Cotton, everything…and we MEAN everything…46* touches continues to turn to scheisse, including America in general and the town of Sparta, WI, in particular.  Thanks to The Groper, the small town of just 10,000 adjacent to Fort McCoy has been overrun by Afghans totaling more than its population, none of whom have either a special immigrant visa or training in how to use a toilet, let alone toilet paper.

Keep in mind, as Greenfield notes, “The Afghans who have overrun the Wisconsin base are the ones whom the Taliban, for their own reasons, decided to allow through their checkpoints.”

Which brings us, appropriately enough, to The Lighter Side:

Then there’s these from the lovely Shannon…

…Breeze Gould…

…and Balls Cotton…

…along with these bits of Texocentric 2nd Amendment humor from Ed Hickey:

Finally, we’ll call it a wrap with the latest installment of When the Headline Doesn’t Fit the Story, courtesy today of yet another FOX feature which clearly would have readers believe…

Holiday shoppers sent running for their lives after bullets fly in packed mall

Except, (i) we’re barely half-way through the month of October, and thus, unless Lancastrians consider Halloween a holiday requiring a visit to the mall, these weren’t “Holiday shoppers”, and (ii) from what we can see in the video, you could have driven a Mack truck through this purportedly “packed” mall without threatening a single shopper.

Once again, sensationalism triumphs over accuracy.  If we wanted fiction instead of facts, we get our “news” from CNN
