Bidens were caught violating DC mask mandate at posh Georgetown restaurant

Rules for THEE, not for WE!  After all…

But kings rulepresidents serve.  Problem is, no one ever elected this aged, decrepit pervert president, let alone king.

Now, here’s The Gouge!

First up, in all seriousness, WTF is wrong with Trump?!?

George Santayana might well have been describing The Donald when he penned his famous adage, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”  Did the man learn NOTHING from his debacle in Georgia?!?

Trump received over 2.4 million votes in the general election, losing the Peach State by less than 12,000 votes even after telling his supporters, in the midst of the scamdemic, not to bother mailing in their ballots, as they wouldn’t be counted.

Then, in the run-up to the special Senate election, when the very fate of the Founders’ Republic hung in the balance, Trump attorneys Lin Wood and Sydney Powell inexplicably AGAIN urged Georgians not vote, effectively handing two critical seats to the Socialists.  And now it appears The Donald wants to once more run the same losing play.

As Jim Geraghty noted:

“What constitutes “solving” the “Presidential Election Fraud of 2020”? Voter ID laws? Poll-watchers? Reinstating Trump as president, as he apparently fantasizes?”

In the Monday, October 18th edition of The Gouge, we noted Kurt Schlichter conditioned his prediction Mike Pompeo’s presidential bid was already doomed on the fact Trump would learn from his prior, unforced errors, including continuing to claim the 2020 election was stolen.  If Trump’s keep-down-the-vote strategy costs Republicans the House in 2022, Pompeo’s looking better and better in 2024.

Democrats Make It Impossible To Have Empathy

Empathy is an important human emotion, but sometimes people keep repeating the same stupid mistakes that make it nearly impossible to continue to give a damn about them. Someone suffering severe headaches, for example, can cause a serious empathetic response from people, but that goes away quickly, and likely forever, if you discover that person continually hits themselves in the head with two-by-four. There comes a certain point when any emotion – empathy, sympathy, whatever – becomes counterproductive. When it comes to Democrat voter groups, I’m long past that point.

The odds of you knowing someone who is or was self-destructive are pretty high. I’ve known plenty – people who drink too much, someone who smokes too much, steals, cheats, whatever – hell, I’ve been many of those things when I was younger too. People grow out of it or become consumed by it, very few maintain it throughout their lives. But sometimes, it’s a mentality passed on from generation to generation. That’s how I view people who vote for Democrats in major cities across the country.

In college, I lived in Dearborn, Michigan. Where I lived was represented in Congress by John Dingell. He represented the district since the Earth cooled. First elected in 1955, he finally retired in 2015. Before him, that district was represented by John Dingell Sr., from 1933 till 1955. Upon Dingell Jr.’s retirement, the district was represented by Debbie Dingell, John’s widow. When John Jr. was contemplating retirement, all the talk was about who would replace him: his wife, or his son Christopher, because all that matters is that last name, not ability, character, anything. So when Debbie leaves…

Some of the district isn’t bad, some of it is. But in all of it you can see the remnants of what once was, back when Detroit was the economic engine of the country. Democrats had power in the region that whole time, having a monopoly on the Mayor’s office starting in January 1962. The shell of what remains should serve as a reminder of the failures of unfettered liberal policies, and maybe it does…but it hasn’t made a difference in anyone’s voting habits.

No level of crime, no spike in violence or depth of economic depression has shaken the loyalties of Detroit voters from their Democrat masters. The complete and generational failure of the education system hasn’t done a damn thing either. Nothing will…”

Hunter’s attitude, which we happen to share, reminds us of one of our favorite lines from The Outlaw Josey Wales:

Here’s the juice: If Republicans are the party of stupid, Dimocrats are the party of indentured servitude and moral degeneracy.

Which is why NRO‘s Kevin Williamson, in an absolutely must-read commentary, describes them as an unholy blend of The Pillage Party and the Freakshow Party

CNN Says Get Used to Empty Supermarket Shelves, Comrade

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Tuesday what has been obvious for quite some time: “The president wants to make fundamental change in our economy, and he feels coming out of the pandemic is exactly the time to do that.” CNN is already laying the groundwork for this, preparing Americans for one of the foremost hallmarks of socialist regimes the world over: empty supermarket shelves. On Sunday, the Leftist propaganda organ masquerading as a news source published a lengthy article entitled “Grocery store shelves aren’t going back to normal this year.” Or, from the looks of things, after that, unless the Leftists in the American government are thrown out of office in 2022 and 2024 and decisively repudiated.

CNN was up front about disappointing Americans who are still optimistic that some day this will all end: “If you hoped grocery stores this fall and winter would look like they did in the Before Times, with limitless options stretching out before you in the snack, drink, candy and frozen foods aisles, get ready for some disappointing news.”

The Before Times — is that before the pandemic, or before socialist Democrats came to dominate their party and the government? Either way it’s the same, and it means there will be fewer groceries available…”

Welcome to the Socialists’ vision for Amerika.

Speaking of the manifestly unqualified and ill-equipped ruining life for the rest of us, the Morning Jolt recently offered these thoughts on…

A closing thought on the Pete Buttigieg paternity-leave issue, from my other podcast co-host: Most women who reach any level of management in an institution, never mind the top level, are extremely sensitive to any perception that they’re not pulling their weight, or taking too much time off, or not working hard enough. Yes, I’m sure exceptions exist. But there’s a reason we don’t hear much about women CEOs or heads of nonprofits taking two months off while their organization is experiencing a crisis; they know they would experience far too much reputational damage to make it worthwhile.

As Dan McLaughlin observes, “When you ask what amount of time it is reasonable for a senior executive to take during a crisis, it of course is relevant that he didn’t give birth.”

You might even say that the ability to take two months off — during a crisis no less — and not have to worry about reputational damage is a form of…privilege.

Meanwhile, The Epoch Times is reporting the largest container port in the country now has a record backlog of ships and containers.  Tom Cotton said it best: Pete Buttgag couldn’t organize a one-car funeral.

Next, we offer a quintet of specially selected items certain to pique the interest of inquiring Conservative minds:

(1). According to internal documents obtained by the Washington Free Beacon, the Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) shut out religious groups from a controversial curriculum development process.  Seems the original draft of the agency’s sex education standards included plans to teach elementary school students about gender identity AND transgender hormone therapy. Internal emails obtained by a concerned parent show the NDE added a Planned Parenthood ally to the 28-member advisory team for the standards, while it excluded input from religious education groups, fearing they might object to the proposed curriculum.

(2). Courtesy of The Boss, FOX News informs us New York City’s war on drugs is over; the junkies won.  Acting on orders from Albany, the NYPD waved the white flag last week, directing officers to ignore drug addicts shooting up in public or sharing needles.

(3). Since we’re on the subject of abject surrender to lawlessness, Townhall.com‘s Matt Vespa suggests there’s a reason most Americans don’t know about 46*’s secret illegal immigrant flights.

(4). Also writing at Townhall.com, Spencer Brown tells us, in the midst of a supply chain crisis, 46* just nominated a Maritime Administrator with ZERO shipping experience.  Then again, it’s somehow appropriate, as the nominee’s only qualification for the position is her gender, and she’ll be working under a Secretary of Transportation whose only qualification for his job is his sexual preference.

(5). The Babylon Bee offers a primer on 16 common phrases in the news and what they actually mean…at least to Socialists.

Which brings us, appropriately enough, to a somewhat extended edition of The Lighter Side:

Then there’s these from Speed…

…Balls Cotton…

…and Ed Hickey:

Finally, we’ll call it a wrap with another titillating tale torn from the pages of The Crime Blotter, courtesy of a irate Illinois mother of three who just wanted a little sugar:

Illinois mom allegedly shoots man dead after he refused to kiss her

An Illinois mother of three shot a man dead after he — and his girlfriend — refused to kiss her, authorities said.

Claudia Resendiz-Florez, 28, had just moved in with James P. Jones, 29, and his girlfriend at the Preserve Woodfield apartment complex in Rolling Meadows when a love triangle fatally exploded, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

The three had been drinking together on Thursday night when Resendiz-Florez asked Jones for a kiss, which he refused — instead kissing his girlfriend. Resendiz-Florez then also asked Jones’ girlfriend for a kiss, who also declined, prosecutors said at a bond hearing on Saturday. Resendiz-Flores demanded that he kiss her again, which he again refused, infuriating her, prosecutors said, according to the Sun-Times.

She then grabbed Jones’ gun, tucked beneath a couch cushion in the home, and pointed it at Jones. Prosecutors said that Jones tried to lower the gun when he saw that she had pulled off the safety, but she was able to raise her arms and shoot him once in the chest…”

Good thing young Claudia likes kissing women, ’cause something tells us that’s going to be the only flavor on her menu for some time to come.  Pity…and pray for…her poor children.
