It’s Friday, November 12th, 2021…but before we begin, if ever there’s been two must-view segments of Tucker Carlson Tonight, these recent clips covering the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse are it:

Here’s hoping sanity and justice…NOT mob rule…prevails in Wisconsin.

Now, here’s The Gouge!

First up, we continue our coverage of the malicious prosecution in Kenosha with the thoughts of NRO‘s Andy McCarthy, who doesn’t mince words as he unequivocally concludes the…

Rittenhouse Prosecutors Seek to Criminalize Constitutional Self-Defense

Kyle Rittenhouse should not have been on the violent streets of Kenosha. He also should not be on trial for murder.

There is social justice, and then there’s courtroom justice. As the ongoing Kyle Rittenhouse trial illustrates, never the twain shall meet.

Rittenhouse was indicted by mob-compliant Wisconsin prosecutors for murdering two men and attempting to murder two others when he was attacked three nights into the radical left’s rioting in Kenosha on August 25, 2020. As this is written, the trial, which began last week, has taken a remarkable turn: Despite a stunningly weak case presented by the state — one that could perhaps have been thrown out by the judge as woefully insufficient when the prosecutors rested on Tuesday — Rittenhouse has elected to testify. Despite the obvious risk in this, he has fared well thus far. Prosecutors flailed on cross-examination, became argumentative, and were repeatedly chastised in the jury’s presence by the understandably exasperated trial judge, Bruce Schroeder.

We’ll have more to say after that testimony concludes. For now, let’s go back to the beginning and address why Rittenhouse’s indictment is constitutionally offensive to the right of self-defense…”

Meanwhile, since we’re on the subject of mob rule, FOX reports one Hawk Newsome, the head of Black Lies Matter of Greater New York has warned mayor-elect Eric Adams “There will be riots, there will be fire and there will be bloodshed” if the city returns to its pre-De Blasio policing practices.  You know, when cops actively acted against the interests of criminals!

Hawk’s sister Chivona added, “Mayor-elect Adams is a bargain-basement Giuliani knockoff who longs for old New York where Black folks get their heads cracked by law enforcement and women sit quietly in the back of the room.”  Yeah, and Winsome Sears is a White supremacist.

Biden Banking Nominee Wants To ‘Starve’ Companies That Invest in Oil and Gas

President Joe Biden’s pick to regulate the banking system said earlier this year that she wants to “starve” companies of money to invest in the oil and gas industry in order to fight climate change, comments that could further complicate her chances of Senate confirmation.

Saule Omarova, who received the Lenin Personal Academic Scholarship at Moscow State University, has proposed establishing a National Investment Authority to divert investments away from the oil and gas industry and into “clean and green” infrastructure projects. Speaking at a virtual forum in May, Omarova said “the way we basically get rid of those carbon financiers is we starve them of their sources of capital.”

Omarova, the nominee to lead the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, faces stiff opposition from Senate Republicans over the National Investment Authority proposal, as well as her calls to “end banking as we know it.” Omarova has proposed allowing the Federal Reserve to handle consumer bank deposits, replacing private banks.

At least three Democrats—Sens. Jon Tester (D., Mont.), Kyrsten Sinema (D., Ariz.), and Joe Manchin (D., W.Va.)—have expressed concerns about Omarova, Axios reported. Omarova took a shot at Manchin at the May forum, saying that while the senator is “supposedly on the Democratic side,” he is “very uncomfortable with big spending ideas.” Manchin has opposed the Green New Deal and other measures that aim to kill off the fossil fuel industry.

Omarova, a professor at Cornell Law School, says her proposed National Investment Authority would serve as the “fighting muscle” of the progressive-backed Green New Deal. Under Omarova’s proposal, the National Investment Authority would create investment funds and issue bonds in order to lure investors to fund clean energy projects, sapping oil and gas projects of their funding. The agency, which Omarova modeled after the New Deal-era Reconstruction Finance Corporation, would work closely with the Federal Reserve and Treasury Department, which oversees the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency…”

Which is more than just passing strange, since immediately after the Journal reported U.S. inflation hit a three-decade high of 6.2% last month, in his best imitation of Barry “The One” Obama promising to make the oceans recede at his word, 46* finally acknowledged the reality of soaring inflation and rapidly worsening economy by ordering his economic council to “reduce energy costs“.

Which provides the perfect segue for a meme sent to us by the lovely Shannon: Rather than unnecessarily reducing the availability of oil and gas, it’s…

In an earlier edition of his Morning Jolt, Jim Geraghty wondered whether 46* was oblivious to the mounting economic disaster?  Two quick thoughts immediately came to mind: (i) why wouldn’t he be, seeing as he’s oblivious to just about everything else going on around him; and, (ii) disaster isn’t a bug in Biden’s Socialist economy, it’s a feature.

Case in point, as, courtesy of NRO, Mario Loyola reveals…

The Real Culprit in Our Supply-Chain Crisis

The supply chain for an Apple iPhone crosses an international border more than 600 times, and if it didn’t, you probably wouldn’t have one — it would be too expensive. Globalization has come under renewed assault from both parties, and the supply-chain crisis has led to a renewed “Made in America” push. But, like the problem of jobs going offshore, the supply-chain crisis is not caused by globalization. The culprit is an uncompetitive level of regulation and taxation, and protectionism only makes that problem infinitely worse.

Stifling regulations have left America with the most inefficient ports in the world. A recent review of container-port efficiency ranked the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach below ports in Tanzania and Kenya, near the bottom of the list of 351 top ports. America’s ports are effectively third-world. The 50 most efficient ports in the world are mostly in Asia and the Middle East; none are in America…”

Not to defend 46*, but in the interest of transparency, not even The Donald was willing to buck the forces which perpetuate the cost increases inherent with the Jones Act.  Never have so many paid so much to profit so few.

Why the Woke Can’t Take a Joke

The anti-Chappelle revolt at Netflix shows leftism’s weakness.

“‘It is the test of a good religion whether you can joke about it,” G.K. Chesterton observed more than 100 years ago. The Laughing Prophet, as he was known, pointed out that people who are secure in their beliefs need not fear mockery. It’s those with shaky doctrines who can’t tolerate laughter. Today’s political radicals hold their views with the fervor of a religion, and by Chesterton’s measure they’re rather weak creeds.

As Dave Chappelle recently found out, mocking the left’s dearly held dogma will provoke outrage and uproar the likes of which would make the religious right of Satanic Panic fame look grounded and sane. You are allowed to make jokes, the left declares, as long as they target the right people—or rather, the people the left thinks are wrong. Anyone in their congregation is off limits.

But the recent dustup over Mr. Chappelle only further demonstrates the true power of political satire and comedy. It can shine a light on the unflattering traits of those controlling our cultural institutions. Funny is funny, even in a time of political polarization and censorship. Comedy can get people of all stripes laughing and dole out a little truth while their guard is down. This is why, from woke boardrooms to the White House and elite universities, those wielding cultural power today can’t abide humor that illuminates their moral failures, their hypocrisy and the ultimate bankruptcy of their worldviews…”

Media’s misleading portrayal of the fight over critical race theory

Key Points

  • This report examines how media covered the critical race theory (CRT) debate in schooling through an analysis of all news articles published between September 2020 and August 2021 by four major newspapers and three major education press outlets.
  • Coverage largely ignored bedrock assumptions of CRT, including its explicit rejection of rationality and objectivity. This was mentioned in fewer than 10 percent of articles.
  • News accounts also rarely mentioned concerns about CRT-aligned practices, such as segregated, race-based affinity spaces or the promotion of “anti-racist” racial stereotypes.
  • Instead, most coverage focused on whether schools should discuss racism and slavery, even though few (if any) critics have adopted this position. The result has been a misleading, slanted, and dismissive caricature of sober concerns.

And if you need a real laugh, contrast the Progressive propaganda presentation of Kommielaa’s debut in France…

 …with her actual…

Which, in Anglais says, “Kommielaa is horribly horrible…and as authentic as a $3 bill!”  And Let’s go, Brandon!

Moving on, here’s a quintet of carefully culled items certain to pique the interest of inquiring Conservative minds:

(1). As this forward from The Boss informs us, one Arizona State professor says the traditional grading system is inherently racist, and has instead proposed a labor-based system.  His “White language supremacy” labor-based grading would weigh papers based on how much “labor” students put into their assignments.  Such idiocy brings to mind a scene from Big Fish:

So in Professor Inoue’s twisted world, were Steve Buscemi’s character any other color than White, his twelve years of toil would warrant an A+, the paucity of the product notwithstanding.

(2). Writing at NRO, Phil Klein believes, with good reason, “We are reaching the point that many of us predicted and feared: The public-health community and media elites are starting to pivot to forever masking.”  One need only look at the fully-vaccinated Kommielaa meeting with fully-vaccinated researchers at the Louis Pasteur Institute, all of who are wearing masks, to see where the “leadership class” wants to keep us.

(3). Despite The Donald nearly bankrupting Iran with sanctions, The Washington Free Beacon is reporting Tehran’s cash reserves have soared to over $31 billion after Biden softened or refused to enforce the measures Trump put in place.  One has to marvel at 46* doing everything he can to help our most implacable foreign foes while at the same time lending all the weight of the Justice Department against domestic opponents who simply disagree with the indoctrination…

…of their children.

(4). Since we’re on the subject of those who conspired to classify parental involvement as an act of domestic terrorism, you’ll enjoy the video accompanying this report on last Tuesday’s Loudoun County School Board meeting at which parents confronted members with a petition calling for the removal of the board chair

(5.) FOX‘s misleading reporting notwithstanding (the Negro leagues were, and always have been referred to as such, as that’s what they were!), we’re far less bothered by 46* referring to Satchel Paige as “the great Negro” than the fact he mentioned it during a Veteran’s Day observance, and it’s obvious the man cannot speak coherently or even follow a teleprompter.  Which we strongly doubt featured the words “the great Negro”.

Which brings us, appropriately enough, to The Lighter Side:

Then there’s these from the lovely Shannon…

…Mark Foster…

…and Brenda Berry:

Finally, we’ll call it a day with a long-overdue forward from James Nichols, and what can only be described as a cross between News of the Bizarre and another sordid story straight from the pages of The Crime Blotter, as the Daily Caller tells us how a…

Scottsdale School Board Member Publicized Parents’ Social Security Numbers, Divorce Proceedings, Financial Records In Effort To Track Outspoken Parents

Parents with children enrolled in the Scottsdale Unified School District were appalled when they uncovered that one of the district’s school board members had editing access to a Google Drive that included personal pictures and information on a slew of outspoken parents, including their social security numbers, a divorce proceeding, and financial records.

Mother Kim Stafford uncovered a Google Drive link when school board President Jann-Michael Greenberg sent her an email accusing her of “anti-Semitic” comments against billionaire George Soros. Greenburg sent Stafford a screenshot of his desktop, which included a since-deleted Google Drive URL reviewed by the Daily Caller. The drive was available to anyone who had the link.

Parents have since dubbed the Google Drive an “online dossier.” The folders housed within the dossier are labeled “SUSD Wackos,” “Press Conference Psychos,” and “Anti Mask Lunatics,” among others. Included under “Press Conference Psychos” was a video that shows parents calmly holding signs that read “CRT is Racist” and “SUSD We Demand Transparency.”

The dossier takes specific aim at the concerned parent group “Community Advocacy Network” (CAN). Administrators and founders of CAN’s active Facebook page have folders dedicated to screenshots of their Facebook comments, pictures of them with their husbands, and in some cases financial records.

Wray, one of the concerned parents and leaders of CAN, was a top target of the online dossier. The folder has a credit deed of trust from Desert Financial Federal Credit Union, her mortgage, information on Wray’s AirBNB property, and pictures of her children. Wray told the Daily Caller that her first dust-up with the school board was in January when she criticized Greenburg for “making a political rant during a school board meeting that’s supposed to be non-partisan.” She feels she’s been unfairly doxed by the publication of her information. “I’m just a parent,” Wray said. “I’m not a public official.”

Parents have largely been concerned with the school board’s handling of mask mandates and their alleged lack of transparency.

Other posts detailed in the Google Drive include a PDF with members and moderators in CAN’s Facebook group, the personal documents that show portions of parents’ social security numbers, parents sharing pro-Trump signs or Thomas Sowell quotes, and one parent’s divorce proceeding.

The dossier also appeared to harbor opposition work against Amy Carney, a concerned parent who announced recently that she plans on running for Scottsdale Unified school board in Nov. 2022. Carney told the Daily Caller that while Greenburg had access to the Google Drive, most of the information was procured and posted by Greenburg’s father, Mark Greenburg. The elder Greenburg is listed as the owner of the Google Drive, according to screenshots obtained by the Daily Caller.

The elder Greenburg can be heard in bodycam footage reviewed by the Daily Caller calling Wray a “lunatic.” He also admitted that he pulled up to Wray’s car on his motorcycle with his license plate covered and said he had a private investigator “who’s writing down all of [the parents’ license] plates.”

Both Wray and Carney described the Greenburgs as “bullies” and “trolls,” who do little to quell the real concerns of parents. Carney said that if parents criticize the younger Greenburg, “the dad goes after them.” The elder Greenburg has a history of harassing his political opponents. In 2019, he was unmasked as the anonymous author of a parody website that mocked school board leadership, according to a local Scottsdale news outlet.

School board member Greenburg denied involvement with the dossier to the outlet Independent NewsMedia. When asked whether his father had access to the Google Drive, Greenburg said that he’s not his “father’s keeper.”…”

No, you just live with him; Which fairly screams the question how this loser ever got elected to a school board in the first place?!?

More importantly, consider the fact these two Dimocratic douchebags resorted to these tactics over something as minor as a Scottsdale school board seat.  Then imagine what their ilk…

…are capable of…

…when the stakes are immeasurably higher.  Just sayin’.

Video of the Day

Here’s a microcosm of what REALLY ails the Black “community” today, and it isn’t the shadows cast by long-dead slave owners or non-existent White supremacists; Rather its a debilitating hatred born by decades of deliberately divisive and deceitful Progressive politics and policies. BTW, what DID the White girl do that deserved ANY response on ANY level, let alone the one shown?!?

Tales of The Darkside

Blah, blah, blah; Yeah, whatever. And all John Kerry had to do to get the ChiComs to committing to CONSIDER starting to EVENTUALLY think about reducing their dependence on coal-fired power generation is lobby against legislation banning the import of Chinese goods produced by slave labor.

On the Lighter Side

Weird doesn’t BEGIN to describe this video. It would be hilarious if only those involved weren’t deadly serious, and there weren’t millions of Americans like them.
