It’s Wednesday, April 14th, 2021…but before we begin, consider this forward from James Nichols containing the expert analysis of Brandon Tatum as relates the recent incident in which an Army 2nd Lieutenant purposely and with malice aforethought precipitated a confrontation with police, and is now suing the officers involved:

You can watch Tatum’s video in its entirety here, but suffice it to say…

…a clear case of BWA: Brother With Attitude.  As far as we’re concerned (continuing the Cool Hand Luke theme), this is what  this particularly ornery Army ass wanted, so…

One thing is for certain: this budding activist won’t be weeded out of our woke Military under Lloyd Austin’s screening procedures to identify and remove extremists.  Hell’s bells, he’ll probably receive early promotion and be put on the fast track for Chief-of-Staff.

Now, here’s The Gouge!

First up, in a related item, the WSJ‘s Tunku Varadarajan presents…

The Report That Shook Britain’s Race Lobby

A government commission finds the U.K. is no longer ‘deliberately rigged’ against minorities. Cue the outrage and racial attacks on its chairman, Tony Sewell.

If you’re an American who worries that your country’s influence is waning, you may not be heartened to learn that it isn’t. After last year’s killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis, angry demonstrators in Britain, emulating Black Lives Matter protests in the U.S., took to city streets. Some committed acts of vandalism. In the port city of Bristol, a statue of a local 17th-century philanthropist was toppled because he also traded in slaves. In London’s Parliament Square, the words “Was a Racist” were daubed on the plinth of Winston Churchill’s statue.

In July the government of Prime Minister Boris Johnson responded by impaneling the Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities. “We decided to step away from the heat and all that vitriol,” says its chairman, Tony Sewell, “and just take a cold look at the data on racism.” In doing so, “we examined ideas that weren’t to be questioned,” namely “the race industry’s articles of faith.” In its March 31 report, the commission concluded that while Britain isn’t yet “a post-racial society,” neither is it any longer a place where “the system” is “deliberately rigged against ethnic minorities.”

As a result, Mr. Sewell, who is blackonly one of the 10 other commissioners is white—has come under blistering attack. It ranges from the achingly predictable (a profusion of “Uncle Tom” accusations on Twitter ) to the grotesque. A Cambridge professor of postcolonial studies likened Mr. Sewell to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels. A Labour member of Parliament suggested that he belonged in the Ku Klux Klan. Add in put-downs like “house Negro,” “token” and “race traitor,” and you have a picture of the liberal rage ignited by the commission’s refusal to endorse the belief that Britain is irremediably racist.

Mr. Sewell, 62, runs a charity that coaches black schoolchildren in science and math. “It’s a STEM pipeline program,” he says via Zoom from the study of his house in London. “It starts when they’re young and takes them up to university, using summer schools.” Thousands of black kids have been given a college opportunity they “didn’t have in the first place.” Yet he’s called an “Uncle Tom.”

He characterizes the abuse as “a sort of antiracism that borders on racism.” He also detects some desperation, “not only in black lobby groups but on the white left”: “they’re frightened of the report.”…”

After all, what would the Race Lobby and its hucksters, both in Britain and the States, do if everyone realized racism doesn’t really exist?

Another thing’s for certain: As Walt Meisen noted in a follow-up to an earlier item, they couldn’t afford to purchase four homes in less than five years, including Commie Khan’s Georgia property, which includes an aircraft hangar.  As contributor Meisen observed, “How ironic you can own 4 homes and still maintain your Marxist credentials.  BLM collected $90 million last year and I guarantee, due to her “privilege”, neither Patrisse nor her organization will be audited to verify proper use of the money. THAT would be RACIST!”

In yet another related item of which inquiring minds are already aware, NRO details how the…

Officer Who Fatally Shot Daunte Wright Intended to Discharge a Taser, Minnesota Police Chief Says

The police officer who fatally shot Daunte Wright, a black man, during a traffic stop in a Minneapolis suburb on Sunday had intended to discharge a taser and instead fired a single shot at the man, according to a Minnesota police chief. Police Chief Tim Gannon of the Brooklyn Center Police Department described the shooting as “an accidental discharge.”

Gannon said officers pulled the 20-year-old over for a traffic violation and tried to detain him after learning he had an outstanding warrant. The man then reentered his car and an officer shot him.

Wright had a warrant out for his arrest after he failed to appear in court on charges that he fled from officers and possessed a gun without a permit during a run-in with Minneapolis police in June…”

Soooo…instead of simply surrendering, he attempted to flee the policeagain.  Since one should never speak ill of the dead, we won’t comment on the departed’s abysmal judgement, and instead laud him for his consistency.

Though we tire of having to repeat ourselves, this is not to say Duante Wright deserved to be shot, let alone killed.  But had he not attempted to evade arrest…for a second time…he’d be alive today, either in jail or more likely out on bail, a conclusion shared here by Brandon Tatum.  Brandon’s analysis is well worth watching, as he questions not only the procedures used by all three officers in general, but the skills and competence of the female officer, Kimberly Potter, in particular.

EDITOR’S NOTEAccording to Townhall.com, Potter, a 26-year veteran of the Brooklyn Center PD, and chief Tim Gannon have both resigned, while the New York Post is reporting Potter was training a rookie officer, which jives with Tatum’s assessment of the skills evidenced during the encounter with Wright.

We found this assessment by Wright’s father Aubrey in a USA Today account worth special mention:

“I know my son. He was scared. He still (had) the mind of a 17-year-old because we babied him. He was a great kid. He was a normal kid. He was never in serious trouble.”

In light of his son having had an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear on charges of fleeing police and illegal gun possession, “serious trouble” is evidently a relative term in the elder Wright’s mind.  In any event, this will be…

Meanwhile, consider the statements from Dimocratic “leaders” in response to what was undoubtedly an accident:

46*’s mouthpiece Jen “Little Goebbels” Psaki: “We were incredibly saddened to hear about the loss of life at the hands of law enforcement in Minnesota yesterday.”

Minnesota misgovernor Tim Walz: “I am closely monitoring the situation in Brooklyn Center. Gwen and I are praying for Daunte Wright’s family as our state mourns another life of a Black man taken by law enforcement.”

Two thoughts immediately came to mind: First, nothing like letting the dust settle and await the results of a thorough investigation.  Second, were 46* and Minnesota’s worthless governor to express similar schmaltz at the demise of every Black man killed by another Black man, they’d be issuing such statements 24/7.

In a politically-correct overreaction, Minnesota’s Bring Me The News reports how…

Brooklyn Center mayor fires city manager following Daunte Wright killing

The City Manager’s crime?  He said talk of firing the officer was premature and that “employees are entitled to due process.”  So the female officer and police chief have resigned, and the city manager fired.  Guess the mayor and city council bear no responsibility for Wright’s death whatsoever!

Moving on, NRO‘s Charles W. Cooke opines on…

60 Minutes Showing Absolutely No Remorse for Its Corrupt DeSantis Smear

What CBS did is similar to what someone staging a fake hate crime does — fabricate evidence in an attempt to illustrate a supposedly ‘broader truth.’

“…Acknowledging the incident at the end of last night’s 60 Minutes, host Sharyn Alfonsi steered clear of such prosaic questions as whether what she had said was true or false, and chose instead to deploy an impressively pusillanimous version of the “we started a conversation” defense. Some viewers,” Alfonsi explained, “including a retired newsman, applauded the story” she had told. Others, she said, “condemned it.” And then, without further ado, ran the titles.

Why did CBS go down to Florida, spend three months searching for a scandal, and then desperately attach itself to a fable that it would have known within hours did not check out? I’ll tell you why: because CBS began with the premise and worked backwards from there. Like far too many of their colleagues, Sharyn Alfonsi and her team at 60 Minutes are convinced that something must be rotten in Florida, and that, somehow, Governor DeSantis is getting away with it. And so, like far too many of their colleagues in the industry, they have resolved to find the missing treasure by hook or by crook. In style and in execution, what CBS did last week was similar to what people who stage fake hate crimes are doing, which is fabricating evidence in an attempt to illustrate what they believe is a “broader truth.” Like the bad cop who slips a bag of heroin into a suspected drug dealer’s pocket or the Soviet commissar who makes an example of a random kulak, CBS was determined to fire its slings and arrows and would not be deterred by anything so banal as a lack of proof…”

Here’s the juice: Having totally transformed into a mere mouthpiece for Progressive politicians and causes, the MSM has forged a partnership in propaganda that would do Joseph Goebells proud.

Since we’re on the subject of pusillanimous and prevaricating Progressives, the Editors at NRO correctly suggests…

Anthony Fauci Has Worn Out His Welcome

So…

And don’t let the door hit you in your useless, publicity-craving, overpaid a*s.

Next up, ten more items for inquiring minds possessed of above-average intellect:

(1). Check out the focus of this fabulist YouTube line-up of Progressive “fourth wave” propaganda:

Just like the the Race Lobby, The Swamp is increasingly desperate to maintain its control over the weak-minded and weak-willed.

(2). In another forward from James Nichols, the U.K.’s Daily Mail is reporting St. Vincent Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves has decreed only people with Covid-19 vaccines can be evacuated.

(3). The Morning Jolt informs us shortly after the head of China’s CDC acknowledged Saturday the Sinovac vaccine is just not effective enough, the ChiCom leadership decided that’s not what they want the world to hear, so within 24 hours of the admission, Gao Fu was insisting he had not said what he had just said…and that an accurate interpretation of his earlier statement depended on what the meaning of “is” is.

(4). BTW, Walt Meisen also forwarded this item from The Daily Caller, which reports Commie Khan’s “consulting firm” has been taken offline since news of her real estate empire broke over the weekend.  Guess it’s time she got while the getting’s still good.

(5). Speaking of shameless race hustlers, Raphel Warnock has admitted to signing an email with false information about Georgia voting law, while continuing to blame Republicans for MLB pulling the All-Star game from his state.

(6). In a report from FOX forwarded by George Lawlor, we learn The Department of Health and Human Services has offered federal employees four months of paid leave if they volunteer to help care for a surge of unaccompanied migrant children at immigration shelters near the southern border.  You know, ’cause paid leave to care for illegal aliens doesn’t cost citizen taxpayers a dime.

(7). As quoted by NRO‘s Michael Brendan Dougherty, commenting on his former boss’s manifest unlikability, a former aide to Sonny Cuomo noted, “He was born for social distancing.”

(8). Jim Geraghty informs us, owing to a less than one-in-a-million risk, the federal government is halting use of a vaccine which protects against a virus that, in the past week, has has killed about 750 people per day:

In other words, because six people out of seven million developed a condition that is found in one to two out of every thousand people in the general population. Could the Johnson & Johnson vaccine cause blood clots? Sure. But considering all of the other potential causes of blood clots, there’s a considerable chance that one or all of these women developed blood clots coincidentally.

(9). Meanwhile, down on the border, the Morning Jolt relates:

“…From October to March, in the current fiscal year, the Customs and Border Patrol has apprehended 5,018 individuals with criminal convictions — about double the total for fiscal year 2020, higher than fiscal year 2019, and below the total for fiscal year 2018. Those apprehended so far this year have been convicted of 576 counts of assault, battery, and domestic violence; 265 sexual offenses; 381 counts of burglary; 162 counts of illegal weapons possession or transport; 832 counts of driving under the influence; and three counts of homicide or manslaughter. (One individual may be convicted of more than one of those crimes.)

None of these events are considered particularly big news, and yet the scale of them ought to be. Yes, there are a lot of vulnerable families and innocent children attempting to cross the border. There are also a considerable number of violent criminals attempting to slip through the cracks.

This morning, there is no mention of these particular events or the situation at the border on the front pages of the New York Times, the Washington Post, or USA TodayCNN mentions that the Biden administration has secured agreements for Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala to tighten their borders with more troops in an effort to stem the flow of migration…”

You know, like Obama secured an agreement with Iran to halt development of nuclear weapons…in exchange for billions of dollars and a promise to look the other way when they didn’t live up to its terms.

(10). As the latest Project Veritas video via PJ Media confirms, a CNN technical director not only freely admits the network was in the bag for Biden and totally dedicated to eradicating The Donald, but says pushing climate change through fear is their next false-flag focus.

Which brings us to The Lighter Side:

Then there’s these from Ed Hickey…

…and Balls Cotton:

BTW, we’re not certain that last one’s actually a Turkish proverb, as the Turk’s have only been able to vote since 1923.

Finally, we’ll call it a wrap with yet another sordid story straight from the pages of The Crime Blotter, courtesy today of a geometrically and ethically challenged NOLA woman, as FOX 8 relates a…

Former New Orleans sheriff’s dispatcher was arrested after refusing to return $1.2 million accidentally placed in account

“…Kelyn Spadoni, 33, was fired by JPSO after she was booked with theft valued over $25,000, bank fraud and illegal transmission of monetary funds. According to JPSO, Spadoni closed out a bank account with less than $100 in it. When the bank sent her a balance, a clerical error caused Charles Schwab to deposit $1.2 million into her account.

When the bank attempted to reclaim the money, their request was rejected because the money was not available. It was later learned that Spadoni moved the money to another account and used some of it to purchase a new car and a houseSo far, 75 percent of the money has been recovered…”

Perhaps Spadoni thought the transfer represented her reparations?  Regardless, reports she spent the other 25% on Popeye’s fried chicken and Café Du Monde beignets remain unconfirmed…but well within the realm of possibility.
